watching the coverage on the casey anthony trial, i have to say i was disgusted. there was no justice for caylee. she was a baby who deserved more than being dumped in a swamp. it's frightening to see what the depraved people in this country can get away with if they're a little bit smarter than average. i'm not sure i understand how she can be convicted of lying to police, but not found guilty of AT LEAST child endangerment or neglect? why would she lie if she didnt' have anything to hide? she was that child's mother – there's a certain responsibility that comes along with being called "mommy" – responsibilities like feeding, clothing and caring for your child. responsibilities like making sure your child is protected and not found as "remains" in a swamp while you're out partying and lying to police.....this verdict is shameful....

I think we should ask why people are tried in the media before they are tried by a jury of their peers in court and if the media should take responsibility for subverting the justice system.
