(CNN) – Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has more in common with the average voter than it may seem, or so he said during a campaign stop in Tampa, Florida Thursday.
After listening to a group of unemployed Floridians discuss the challenges they face in the job market, the presidential hopeful -and multi-millionaire– cheekily divulged, "I am also unemployed."
Romney's remarks were greeted with laughter from the crowd, and prompted one man to ask the former governor and businessman if he is on the online networking site 'LinkedIn.'
"Yes actually and I'm networking," Romney answered. "I have my sights on a particular job that I'm working for."
But not everyone appreciated Romney's humor.

Unemployed, REALLY?? It is very said that Mitt Romney joke about being unemployed. unemployment is a reality to many people in this country and anyone who cares about people will not think about it as a joke. Thank to him, at least people know what he stand for. Good luck to you sir.
Doesn't Romney collect a Govt. Pension with all the other perks like Social Security ( they dont pay in but they can collect ) most likely more than the average American makes in a year. So, how does this qualify as umemployed?
im unemployed but am unable to find the humor in my situation that romney does in his. my special needs child has required massive $$$. we have no savings.we hope to keep our home. romney is clueless. i have lost all respect for him. but he is laughable.
Seriously? 'must be a slow night for news.
Those who want to make an issue of his comment should be added to the ridiculist. Let's focus of the important issues. I see no problem with his saying he was unemployed and is looking for a particular job.
