Hi Anderson. I've always admired C. Amanpour but that comment she made about women deserving more power because they don't indulge in the same sexual escapades that men do deserves some further analysis. Women don't have the sexual freedom men have.If women claim their sexual freedom, they are generally marginalized and labeled sluts. Women make different mistakes. Historically, they have presided over some spectacular cruelties and made just as many mistakes as men in their respective arenas. They aren't better than men, neither does society grant them equality with men in any great number. As usual, I agree with her that women should have more positions of political power, but not for the reason she stated. Oh, please, go there, and add a little light to the issue, or a lot of light. That would be even better. Take care, and keep fighting the good fight. P.S. I am really tired of seeing politicians excoriated for personal foibles that would go largely unnoticed in private citizens. What an appetite for blood we have
Unsolicited sexual comments and lewd pornographic pictures are against the law...it's called Sexual Harassment. With the powerful Congressional position Weiner represented, it even raises the type of sexual harassment to a more serious degree. Many, many of these women he sent his vulgar and lewd comments and pictures did not invite any of these filthy gestures...I can't understand why professional legals have not addressed this........I hope many of these women file Sexual Harassment complaints and lawsuits against this sicko........
Congressman Weiner has not submitted his formal resignation to the House. In his speech I was surprised that he did not apologize to the 'about 6' women with whom he had the inappropriate communications with.
