I am not sure I understand the value of the abuse defense. Since the defense is not claming mental illness, how is this any different from any of the other thousands of people in jail whom were abused and killed someone. I understand the argument that she was a lier and didn't want to tell mom but this wouldn't resonate with me if I were on the jury.

The whole family is hinky, it wouldn't surprise me if father George is involved. This whole family is dysfunctional and there is a reason for Casey's bizarre behavior. The grandmother, good gosh, she would scare me and her attachment to Kelly is not a typical grandmother and granddaughter relationship. I think the grandmother is bi-polar. I think the whole family was involved with the cover-up of the accidental death of little Kelly. I'm not defending Casey, but I just feel that she was not the only one involved with Kelly's death.

Watching Casey's trial, when the Judge denied the acquittal, watching Casey, to me, she is so sedated, totally stoned faced, I would be a total mess. It's like she has no idea what's going on. I look at her and think "the lights are on, but nobody's home."

Defense case to start. Bring in the clowns. Now the circus will begin. So sad. A baby girl is dead and it is all about Casey. She is indeed living La Bella Vita.
