If Tony Weiner is a self-described liar, how do we know if he's telling the truth when apologizing?

Weiner needs to resign. Not to much in politics comes out of New York to be honest. Scandel after scandel both republician and democratics.

Please do not spend anymore news time on this man. It is so disgusting that we have a 40 + year old Congressman behaving like a 15 year old. A fifteen year old I can understand the lack of maturity, this man has no excuses. No wonder our congress gets very little done with these type of people serving. He should resign.

It has been stated by scientists doing large surveys that most adult men think about sex something around 90% of the time. (I am now 75 years old, and it seems to be only about 60%.) I doubt that you can find a man who has not "sinned" in his mind. Nor do I think it would be unusual AT ALL to find that most men have had at least one fling outside their marriages. This does not excuse Mr. Weiner. But is sure makes his actions more understandable.

Isn't it possible he was tempted into behaving this way? Perhaps she initiated, flirted.. Does the attractive Meagan Broussard have no responsibility in the matter? That being said; it is unbecoming of any person of public office to conduct themselves in this manner. He was tested by a possible saboteur and failed.

Why should he resign for what might even be a series of sexul dalliances on Twitter? None of which to me as third party are as Offensive as you portray. Unless you have excessively pruient views.
The recipents as far as I can see have not complained and only twiitterers ( not that many) frankly have viewed.
His biggest sin to me is he prevaricated or lied worst case for whatever reasons.
This story is over its now up to his electorate next time around to decide if he gets re- elected. that could be at least 3/ 4 years away and on this kind of thing voters have short memories as they do not see it as important as you evidently do.
Gosh Anderson there ar far more important political topics than this as of now!!
    Regards,
    Hodgson.
