Yemen Presidential Palace Compound Attacked: Join the Live Chat
The mosque at the presidential palace in Yemen came under fire, killing a Muslim preacher and some bodyguards. Several people were also injured, including President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The attack comes amid fears of an all-out civil war after weeks of deadly protest against the government. We'll have the latest developments. Plus, former presidential candidate and North Carolina senator John Edwards is indicted by a federal grand jury. He's accused of of using campaign funds to cover up an affair with a campaign worker, with whom he also fathered a child. He's pleaded not guilty to the charges and insists he "did not break the law."

There is no correlation between sexual abuse and killing your child.
That is just outrageous! Sexual abuse victims end up in terrible relationships with men, use drugs, prostitution... but do not kill children.

cause she didn't plea insane!
Did they have a psychiatrist evaluate her? She seems to have trouble with reality.
Most people who kill other people, especially children are usually not helped by a mental hospital. Most of their acts are premeditated meaning she was sane at the time. Prison is usually the best place for those that kill!!!
Millions of women have been sexually abused by fathers or other men and have never.... ever... killed their child. This excuse just does not wash with me!!! It just demonstrates her unwillingness to be responsible for her behaviors!!!

that casey anthony trial is sure full of twists and turns. personally i think that there may be a "danny the nanny" out there somewhere – some sicko that she used to party with that systematically targeted young single mothers. i can almost hear the line he'd use now ... "oh i love kids ... it's not fair that you never get to go out ... i'll watch your daughter for you ... just pick her up in the morning ... or after the weekend is over ..." (and casey's personality type would lead her to justify this action as being "ok and safe" for her daughter – so she could feed her addictions to go out and be with her friends and party and whatever else. just a scenario but certainly possible.
i know she describes a female, but personally i think she trusted the care of her daughter to someone else (either male or female) and she talked herself into believing it would be safe for her daughter and give her a break. i think something happened to the daughter while she was out of casey's care and she really has no idea who these "friendly strangers" are
Living in Florida, I can say that most of us have followed this case from the very beginning. From the very beginning when she waited 31 days before telling anyone that her daughter was missing and really wouldn't have told even then except her mother dragged her home, we all knew she was guilty. She will be convicted I'm sure.
Her father has denied finding Kaley drowned in the pool.

Just too many lies by Casey Anthony... She is not a reliable historian. How could anyone believe what she says after her continued lies!!!
This Anthony case, to me, is heatbreaking. I have turned the sound down as i can't stand to hear Anything that comes out of the mother's mouth.

Anderson, thanks for having J. Johns & J. Toobin speak to the legal aspects of this case.
It does sound "murky". I wonder Why is the Justice Dept. so interested in prosecuting Edwards, as opposed to so many other Important cases, ie. Wall St.? It seems like the Justice Dept. has cases that would be easier to prove and would mean more to the people of the US.
I am most angry at John Edwards because his wife Elizabeth had to spend her last months on this earth dying of cancer having to deal with the fact that her husband cheated on her and fathered a child with someone else. It must have made her last days so painful emotionally and denied her the comfort and support of her husband.
Having said this, I have stood back and watched the old adage come true–"what goes around comes around".
Even though one is rich, one will know when $9,000 is missing from the account.
It also seems that Edwards' past history with lies should weigh heavily on the outcome of this case. His lies all along about his relationship have been uncovered, so why wouldn't he lie about his intent on the use of the money?

Good point question, You know what.?????? He lied to people that they had misfunded during president yrs now, That's point he did not telling his truth as well, Of course, He will not take cover-up everthing where.
I hope that John Edwards will not take cover-up his mistress or financial funds, I am believe he lied to us what he have done...... He will deserve he will go to jail for 30 yrs.

He does not have a good track record for telling the truth. Why would they believe that he would truthful about his intent that they are resting a court decision on?
