Raising children is a lot of work......not for everyone.....not for the weak.

I think the mother knew at that point that her daughter did something very bad. Awful.
I don't understand Casey Anthony....how could she hurt her own little girl.
Probably cause mentally she wasn't ready to be a mother. Casey still wanted to be young and carefree, that little girl got in her way. Someone should have told Casey about planned parenthood.
Not all women have the capacity to nurture! It is a fallacy to think all women would make good mothers.
But I don't think most of those non-nurturers are likely to kill, either. It's a total shame she didn't give that child up for adoption at birth.
Being a mother is one of the very greatest of privledges that's for sure!
I find the Syrian citizens strong courageous and determined. I hope the US continues to support and do all that is necessary to help them overcome this monster Assad.
There will never be democracy in any Islamic country. There are 47 Islamic countries and not one democracy.
Good evening, people. I am late but was listening to the show as I was baking. I just shook my head at Palin's 'accidental' and coincidental visit. It does show me that she is not 'different' from many other politicians in some basic ways–she likes to mislead others (perhaps even not tell the truth?) and be center of attention! She is not the maverick she likes to pose as-she's a maverick in image only. Substantially she appears more and more to me to be a run-of-the-mill politician.
I can't imagine living in conditions that exist in Syria. It's terrible.
The father must be terrified not only for his life, but for his entire family. Especially if he has other children.

I do not understand why we keep insisting on having political candidates with perfect personal lives.
I really think that we need to insist upon candidates who have the ability to be honest and truthful-as 'charity begins at home', so does honesty. If a candidate cannot manage that in a marriage, I would not trust it outside the marriage. Now, if honesty really isn't a factor period, in personal lives or work lives, just simply getting x-amount of work done is what counts, then I guess honesty is moot point. But I would certainly assume that someone who is dishonest with those closest to them will definitely be dishonest in larger circles as well!
They should have a perfect track record for handeling public money.
I agree, the GOP is having a hard time finding a strong candidate. Lots of flamboyant attention seekers but no one of merit in my opinion.
Lily you have to be kidding. Edwards ran as a virtuous family man and was having an affair while running for the nomination. That's the bigger issue, not the indictment. Do you really think this guy is going to serve time?
Edwards of course will not serve time, he will get a plea deal. For me the bigger issue is mismanagement of funds. The only person that Edwards needed to give an explanation about his affair or child is to his late wife Elizabeth.
He was running for President. Even the most liberal electorate can't get their arms around that.
So he lied about having an affair during the nomination, big deal!! What politician hasn't lied about having an affair
I guess I see it more as lying when under pressure, cheating and sneaking when he wants something, which are not behaviors that happen just in neat little categories of life. (People think they can control and limit when and where they will cheat, lie, etc., but we all get good at whatever it is we practice...and under pressure we fall back on whatever it is we're good at, to handle the situation. If a person falls back on lies, deception, etc., then it's worth knowing that about them.
For me it shows he is willing to cheat and lie when he wants something. I would not expect that to stay in a neat little container called 'personal life.'

Right now, it seems that It will be hard to beat President Obama in the next election.
I do not think that the candidates will get far by criticizing President Obama. They will need to come up with a better plan.
They will blame the economy on him. It's getting worse and most of us know he didn't cause it but elections during a bad economy can do encumbants in.
Unemployment is very bad in the housing industry. A good plan needs to be implemented to make housing a healthy industry.
Romney is a Harvard MBA and has had actual experience successfully running businesses.
I think Romney will make a good presidential canidate. At least so far.
I would choose Romney over Palin anyday, Palin is just a distraction for the Republican party. I wish the republicans the best, they will need it to beat President Obama.
Obama now has a record to defend, and not a good one. Also the novelty has worn off.
That's why someone from the Republican party need's to tell Palin that she need's to stop being such a disctraction. Romney from what I have seen actually wants the job. My mom told me that Palin is the Ralph Nader of my time.

Many people have children out of wedlock, that is not the issue. Edwards is being accused of using campaign funds to pay for child support.

The facts are painful.
Elizabeth Edwards was an amazing woman. I have the utmost respect for this woman. Tragic she died of cancer. The world was a better place with her in it.
Who would have thought that Edwards would fall from grace so quickly.
