Both the dugards should be given life! As they ruined the life of another

Look at that Blue Lobster! I saw cook him up.

  10. Lori, CA

Raising children is a lot of work......not for everyone.....not for the weak.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:55 pm |
    • lilly

I agree, I still don't know how my mother did it.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:56 pm |
    • Jennifer - Michigan

Yes, it's a lot of work but very rewarding as well.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:56 pm |
      • Lori, CA

Yes, rewarding. But they break your heart too.

That is such a sad case to be in the hand of a big bad monster!

    June 2, 2011 at 10:54 pm |
  12. Jennifer - Michigan

Her little girl is so cute.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:53 pm |
  13. Nina

Casey is trying to cover up. It seems her child was an inconvenience! Tragic

    June 2, 2011 at 10:50 pm |
  14. Janis

I think the mother knew at that point that her daughter did something very bad. Awful.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:49 pm |
  15. Jennifer - Michigan

I don't understand Casey Anthony....how could she hurt her own little girl.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:43 pm |
    • lilly

Probably cause mentally she wasn't ready to be a mother. Casey still wanted to be young and carefree, that little girl got in her way. Someone should have told Casey about planned parenthood.

Not all women have the capacity to nurture! It is a fallacy to think all women would make good mothers.

        June 2, 2011 at 10:51 pm |
        • nancyinoregon

But I don't think most of those non-nurturers are likely to kill, either. It's a total shame she didn't give that child up for adoption at birth.

          June 2, 2011 at 10:53 pm |
      • Jennifer - Michigan

Being a mother is one of the very greatest of privledges that's for sure!

I find the Syrian citizens strong courageous and determined. I hope the US continues to support and do all that is necessary to help them overcome this monster Assad.

There will never be democracy in any Islamic country. There are 47 Islamic countries and not one democracy.

Good evening, people. I am late but was listening to the show as I was baking. I just shook my head at Palin's 'accidental' and coincidental visit. It does show me that she is not 'different' from many other politicians in some basic ways–she likes to mislead others (perhaps even not tell the truth?) and be center of attention! She is not the maverick she likes to pose as-she's a maverick in image only. Substantially she appears more and more to me to be a run-of-the-mill politician.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:39 pm |
  19. Janis

I can't imagine living in conditions that exist in Syria. It's terrible.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:37 pm |
  20. Nina

The father must be terrified not only for his life, but for his entire family. Especially if he has other children.
Syria is really a nefarious regimes

    June 2, 2011 at 10:37 pm |
    • nancyinoregon

Absolutely...he cannot put them in jeopardy.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:43 pm |
  21. Jennifer - Michigan

The people in Syria are living like animals....scared animals....very sad to see.

    RE: Edwards

I do not understand why we keep insisting on having political candidates with perfect personal lives.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:35 pm |
    • nancyinoregon

I really think that we need to insist upon candidates who have the ability to be honest and truthful-as 'charity begins at home', so does honesty. If a candidate cannot manage that in a marriage, I would not trust it outside the marriage. Now, if honesty really isn't a factor period, in personal lives or work lives, just simply getting x-amount of work done is what counts, then I guess honesty is moot point. But I would certainly assume that someone who is dishonest with those closest to them will definitely be dishonest in larger circles as well!

      June 2, 2011 at 10:46 pm |
    • Lori, CA

They should have a perfect track record for handeling public money.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:48 pm |
  23. Janis

I agree, the GOP is having a hard time finding a strong candidate. Lots of flamboyant attention seekers but no one of merit in my opinion.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:27 pm |
  24. Nick, CT

Lily you have to be kidding. Edwards ran as a virtuous family man and was having an affair while running for the nomination. That's the bigger issue, not the indictment. Do you really think this guy is going to serve time?

    June 2, 2011 at 10:24 pm |
    • lilly

Edwards of course will not serve time, he will get a plea deal. For me the bigger issue is mismanagement of funds. The only person that Edwards needed to give an explanation about his affair or child is to his late wife Elizabeth.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:32 pm |
      • Nick, CT

He was running for President. Even the most liberal electorate can't get their arms around that.

        June 2, 2011 at 10:35 pm |
        • lilly

So he lied about having an affair during the nomination, big deal!! What politician hasn't lied about having an affair

          June 2, 2011 at 10:42 pm |
          • nancyinoregon

I guess I see it more as lying when under pressure, cheating and sneaking when he wants something, which are not behaviors that happen just in neat little categories of life. (People think they can control and limit when and where they will cheat, lie, etc., but we all get good at whatever it is we practice...and under pressure we fall back on whatever it is we're good at, to handle the situation. If a person falls back on lies, deception, etc., then it's worth knowing that about them.

            June 2, 2011 at 10:58 pm |
      • nancyinoregon

For me it shows he is willing to cheat and lie when he wants something. I would not expect that to stay in a neat little container called 'personal life.'

        June 2, 2011 at 10:40 pm |
  25. Gloria, Brooklyn, NY

I don't understand why these people want to waste their money.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:21 pm |
    • Lori, CA

Right now, it seems that It will be hard to beat President Obama in the next election.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:24 pm |
  26. Lori, CA

I do not think that the candidates will get far by criticizing President Obama. They will need to come up with a better plan.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:21 pm |
    • Janis

They will blame the economy on him. It's getting worse and most of us know he didn't cause it but elections during a bad economy can do encumbants in.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:25 pm |
      • Lori, CA

Unemployment is very bad in the housing industry. A good plan needs to be implemented to make housing a healthy industry.

Romney is a Harvard MBA and has had actual experience successfully running businesses.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:20 pm |
    • Jennifer - Michigan

I think Romney will make a good presidential canidate. At least so far.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:24 pm |
    • lilly

I would choose Romney over Palin anyday, Palin is just a distraction for the Republican party. I wish the republicans the best, they will need it to beat President Obama.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:25 pm |
      • Mike, formerly from Syracuse

Obama now has a record to defend, and not a good one. Also the novelty has worn off.

        June 2, 2011 at 10:29 pm |
        • lilly

That's why someone from the Republican party need's to tell Palin that she need's to stop being such a disctraction. Romney from what I have seen actually wants the job. My mom told me that Palin is the Ralph Nader of my time.

          June 2, 2011 at 10:39 pm |
  28. Gloria, Brooklyn, NY

Well, she is not by cup of tea!

  29. lisal -canada

oooh – i think sarah has someone who plans the trip itinerary for her (isn't that what delegation is all about?) – her purpose on the bus is likely what she says it is – but i think that she and her family are on the bus but just along for the ride

    June 2, 2011 at 10:19 pm |
  30. Nina

Palin is nothing but a cheerleader! Remember, she quit her Governor job.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:18 pm |
    • Jennifer - Michigan

It didn't impress me when she quit.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:20 pm |
    • lilly

Palin is like Trump! money talks, and television pays more.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:21 pm |
    • nancyinoregon

(She's such a 'maverick' that she might walk away from the Presidency too, once it didn't serve her purpose any longer! Wouldn't that be a wild scenario?!)

      June 2, 2011 at 10:51 pm |
  31. lilly

Many people have children out of wedlock, that is not the issue. Edwards is being accused of using campaign funds to pay for child support.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:17 pm |
  32. Lori, CA

Where do they park that bus in New York?

    June 2, 2011 at 10:17 pm |
  33. Lisa in Louisville

Of course she knew exactly what she was doing.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:17 pm |
  34. Jennifer - Michigan

    No coincidence there rest assured.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:12 pm |
    • nancyinoregon

I am quite inclined to agree...and to therefore find her very phony.

How could he retain his law license if he is convicted of embezzlement?

    June 2, 2011 at 10:12 pm |

      Well, it's certainly not professional!

      June 2, 2011 at 10:17 pm |

    He's not the boy-next-door anymore.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:07 pm |

      Was he ever?

      June 2, 2011 at 10:08 pm |
      • Janis

A very long time ago he came across that way to me and a possible presidential contender to boot.

        June 2, 2011 at 10:10 pm |

      he is such a snake!

Elizabeth Edwards was an amazing woman. I have the utmost respect for this woman. Tragic she died of cancer. The world was a better place with her in it.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:03 pm |
  40. lilly

Who would have thought that Edwards would fall from grace so quickly.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:02 pm |
  41. Nina

    Good evening everyone

    June 2, 2011 at 10:02 pm |
  42. Jennifer - Michigan

Did he marry her yet? Is he planning on it?

    June 2, 2011 at 10:01 pm |
  43. Lori, CA

I am shocked about John Edwards. He looks so honest and innocent.

    June 2, 2011 at 10:01 pm |
    • Jennifer - Michigan

He does have an innocent look about him.

      June 2, 2011 at 10:02 pm |
    • Jennifer - Michigan

      Looks are so deceiving ey?

      June 2, 2011 at 10:05 pm |
    • nancyinoregon

He was probably operating on the maxim that 'Image is Everything'!

      June 2, 2011 at 10:42 pm |
