Rep. Anthony Weiner is trying to downplay the controversy connected to a photo posted on his Twitter page. The photo shows a man wearing underwear. Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who broke the story, is calling for a full investigation. He said Weiner's account was hacked or he has something to hide. Today on Capitol Hill it got heated when a CNN Producer asked Weiner questions about the photo. We'll play the exchange for you tonight on AC360°. Plus, a warning that cell phones might cause cancer. We're Keeping Them Honest. And, see who we add to our 'RidicuList.'

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Good point, I agree with Secretary of the State Clinton said....... That was so horrible for boy!!!!! I don't want to see this picture of teenager boy!!!!!!!!!! 🙁 I agree with Anderson said, too!
This story about Hamza is outrageous!! I realize the US has little if no influence in this situation, however the World community who Does have Any influence with Syria whould act immediately.
I can only pray that the torture injuries were delivered post his death. I pray with all of my heart that he was Not alive when the terrible wounds were inflicted. I believe the mutilation was to scare his family and others who would fight against the government.
My heartfelt condolences to Hamza's family & friends, as well as the Syrian people who are fighting for their human rights.
Assaud has nothing to offer after this. Another criminal with too much power.
Rep Weiner handled the questions remarkably. is none of our business his private life–it's a personal problem to be dealt with his family. I'm tired of news media scandals. Media should deal with national issues only–stay out of it!
What? " Always happens"? It is hell
This guy has something to hide. Just look at his body language during the CNN interview. When Dana began questioning him he looked completely away. Guilty. And, not once, never, did he answer even the most direct question. Absolutely shameful....
How long will they allow that to go on?
Good evening, people. The child being tortured id beyond the pale.
This was a monstrous thing to do to a child or anyone for that matter. If it was an intimidation message from the Syrian regime I expect the US to do everything possible to cut ties with the regime including removing our embassy. This regime cannot move forward or change after this. The Syrian people have known this, now the world knows it. The United States can't ignore it. The UN can't pass resolutions because of China's veto power. Talk to China.
This is terrible treatment of a child by the Syrian goverment.
Dana,
I agree with Rep. Anthony Weiner said, I can respect his wish.
I am outraged that an adult photo was sent to that 14 year old girl via twitter. If this had happened between two adults consenting to using a public internet service, this sort of story wouldn't be worth following.
omg, torturing a child to death??? Outrageous! That is just mind boggling. So sad. I hope they convict these people!
He probably knows who did it and does not want that person to get into any trouble. He just wants to drop it.
That's a pretty bad situation 🙂
Sorry Dana, I agree with Rep. Weiner. Why are you making a big deal about a crank pot story. There is plenty of news to cover.
Hi Jeane, i agree with your post. It seems the only people who want to know more are the Press/Media.
I hope the "story" simply fades away.
No, I'm not a member of the media and yes, I do want to know more about this incident as it could possibly be crime
How is this guy a congressman?? He can't even answer the question!!!
Nobody is safe from hackers. It's a constant always evolving thing. It's big business in cyberspace.
I can not help it....I think this story is humorous.
Frustrated with media, maybe?
I have heard twitter has been hacked into before. For that reason, I suspect the congressman was possibly not involved. The question would be, who is the picture of...
If you don't give the congressman the benefit of the doubt any celebrity is vulnerable. Nobody care about the rest of us but it could ruin some.
Good point! I still believe in..."Innocent until proven guilty"
Rep. Weiner does not have IT security staff? That's risky 🙂
Was it a real photo?
I don't think so,, it was Seattle student college sent some, It is not nude as well.
I just can't help but feel that since cellphones have only been around for what, 15 maybe 20 years, that there simply isn't enough data to say definitively how dangerous cellphone use is. I'm sure there's some degree of danger, it's just the issue of figuring out in fact how detrimental it is; which of course won't happen unless longer periods of time are allowed to conduct research.
I don't like that someone hacks my account........ that is so danger thing to do!!!!!!!! I was surprised that congressman Rep. Anthony Weiner did that prank or not, If hacks, yes.
I don't get all of the fuss about this tweet. I don't blame the Congressman for not "engaging" in conversation re: this "prank".
I would not give Mr. Brightbart the satisfaction of a response.
As i understand from CNN's reporting, the tweet is Not Illegal .
to me this seems to be a political stunt by someone who does not like this Congressman.
I agree............... Good point!!!!!!!
Good evening, Starr. (Sigh) I'm afraid that 'dirty tricks' abound in politics, don't they?
Hmmm 🙂 Not a good answer 😀
Who took the nude photo?
Hi Lori, i don't think it was a nude photo. From reports i believe it was a man in underwar in an excited state.
Hi Anderson. Hi Everyone!
This girl really gets around......!!
What doesn't cause cancer these days, really! We've all ruined the world with our technology and waste.
Hello everyone.
If you think about all the carcinogens we are exposed to everyday – automobile exhaust especially – how can we take care of ourselves? Now cell phones. The FDA said 'there is no science' associated with WHOs announcement. I expected that. Wait for alot of people to die, do the science, then announce. I think WHO is trying to be more proactive with people's lives and so should we.
Cell phones do have speakers!
There was a British study a few years back that stated wireless ear buds are just as bad if not worse than typical cell phone use because the radiation, though lower than a typical cell phone, is delivered directly into the ear canal. Can't win!
Thanks for the information. Maybe the old head sets are the best bet???
Wow!!! That is so scary my mind, That is so true........ I am surprised cellphone already confirm have cancer!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!
i have an iphone that i use as a glorified ipod and for photos, data storage and communications – which i keep in my pocket all the time – i suppose just because i don't actually use it as a phone doesn't mean it is not emitting radiation. interesting.
carcinogenic coffee? i think i'll lose the phone and keep the coffee
It will take years before they can conclusively link cell phones to cancer, but I am sure there will eventually be a link. By then it will be too late for most of us.
It is quite possible that the more we use, the more threats to health it causes?
Bluetooth uses radio too. Is it safe?
Good question. I suspect the bluetooth uses less power. Prolonged use, should be studied
Yes, Jim........... it is also safe as well.
I believe it is possible that cell phones could cause cancer. The rays are going directly into the ear drums!
Good evening Anderson & Team 360.
Hello, Nancy, JoAnn, Megan, Mike, Casey, Nina, MaryBeth, Chi, Sharon H., everyone.
I don't have a cell phone (poor reception in the mountains), and i am very glad i don't given this new info.
I hope everyone had a peaceful Memorial Day!
Does anyone really believe that the cell phone companies are going to tell us the truth? I don't.
Agreed! The studies should be carried out by a neutral industry or entity.
Who, what industry is paying for the studies? Any correlation with the phone companies?
But we cannot live without cellphones 🙁
We can still have cell phones, just do not place them to your ear 🙂
My boyfriend is a telecomm admin and he uses his cell a lot. I do worry about him and cell phone use. How much use is too much?
Good Evening Everyone
Any type of microwave or RF will cause irregularity within the brain from the ear due to little to no protection at that point.
What if you wear a hands free earphone and don't put the cell phone to your ear?
Evening AC and AC360 🙂 Nice to have AC back
