Editor's note: Watch our political panel weigh in on Palin here.
(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is once again at the center of the political stage tonight.
Palin is in the midst of a rather mysterious East Coast bus tour that some political observers are interpreting as a trial balloon for a 2012 presidential campaign. The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee is keeping details of her trip largely under wraps, with crowds forming simply based on speculation of where and when she might appear.

Palin says she’s not on a campaign trip. Is that believable?

As the pundits pontificate on the question; what is Sara Palin up to?
I’d like to offer my two cents worth and suggest that she is just playing the publicity for money game. Her fame allows her to write very profitable best selling books, two so far and maybe she’s also playing the Newt Gingrich money raising game, which he has become infamous for. I know she’s an easy and titillating story for the US media but please put her away. Reveal these possibilities and we’ll all be glad to see the empress has no clothes.
She hopped on, rode a few feet and got off.
Gee, just like her political career!
We as a country can only hope Palin DOES NOT RUN!!! If she is the best the Republicans have to offer, they better regroup very quickly. On second thought, maybe she should run. If the Republicans were crazy enough to have her be their candidate, it would most certanly guarantee a Democratic win! It never ceases to amaze me the short memory people have. Has everyone forgotten all of bumbling during the last election? She couldn't answer basic questions that anyone runnng for a political office should be able to answer. With all of the complalning people are doing with the curren administration, do people honestly believe she is the answer?
I am a Vietnam vet and I am disturbed that you spent SO much time covering Sarah Palin on Memorial Day, a day that should have some respect and not the comments of a less than patriotic grandstander.
