its ashame that we have a "leader"that's more concerned with a european vacation than his own people back home. its as easy to change his trip as blinking. after all he is the president. and yes i am ashamed i voted for him. i will not make that mistake again!

I appreciate your show's handling of the devastation in Joplin last night. It was helpful and respectful and did not–like so many other news programs–take the chance to sensationalize what's happened. Some other media outlets today already have announced that more tornadoes are heading toward Joplin, when what they mean is that there's a chance of more storms. Here in the Southern Plains, we deal with storms like these every year, and while what happened in Joplin (and earlier in Alabama) is horrific, I wish media outlets wouldn't get caught up in the hype because they accomplish nothing but spreading fear and panic when they do.

I would recommend that Joplin use helicopters equipped with thermography to find live victims buried in debris as thermography can detect warmth under debris, it will pick up the heat of peoples' bodies & save their lives.
