personally i use the doomsday scenarios to take a moment and consciously re-evaluate my own internal moral compass – see if i think i need to make any internal changes or if i can live with myself – and plan what i'll be doing the next few days
I admire the people who protected their property. However, i bet most people count no afford these kinds of levys.
I wonder how much more it would cost to build houses on a raised foundation, on stilts, like in the Phillipines? That way the first floor would be above the flood limits.

Oh great. Now we can get brain tumors from our cell phones. One more thing to be in denial about. Seriously though, I think I will look into an ear piece. Have to tell my daughter in law. She lives on her cell phone and the younger generation all have them now and are on them all the time–even grade school kids have them.
