Pakistan has been a safe haven for many. The orphaned and disabled children from its neighbouring countries (mainly Afghanistan), the widows and unemployed men and women from its neighbours have also ventured into pakistan and have adopted it as their homeland. All race and types of people are living there, and they don't need visa/passport and are free to roam around without being asked to identify themselves. So its logical that people prefer to live there as they are never asked about their place of birth or nationality.
