This could be a plus for those serious students who can not afford to pay that extra $7,000 for an extra year. There are many smart and able students out there that can truly benefit form an option like this but I think that having this as an only option will prove not as beneficial for the colleges or prospecting students. Because it can also discourage those struggling students into dropping out due to the heavy course load that will be added to their lives. Some students may be working to help pay for tuition costs and this is also discouraging influence for those who already feel that they are taking on too much, or may feel that it will be impossible to achieve. Especially with the ever shrinking course availability and programs that are limited or cut from the college systems.
