Scheduled for vote at Transocean Annual Meeting on May 13, 2011 is Agenda Item 2 which is:
"The Board of Directors proposes that shareholders discharge the members of the Board of Directors and our executive management from liability for activities during the fiscal year 2010."(pg. 7 2010 Annual report)
The Board recommends voting FOR this which would limit the victims right to sue for their damages related to the Gulf spill.
How is this legal for a pre-existing disaster event?
That's just so wrong. I plan to make sure I don't buy gas from BP. Typical big business and government promises, yet the people get the shaft. Why do we keep having these things happen over and over? Sickening.
