    Anderson...

Could they pump the contaminated water out somehow...amd then freeze it in containers that they could find a way to deal with a later time? Maybe it would disapate the energy???

On Tuesday March 29, Near the end of AC360 Mr. Cooper and Dr Gupta were talking about the lack of protective clothing at the Japanese reactor site and Dr. Gupta made an offhand comment to the effect "alpha rays will pass through everything!" I greatly respect Dr. Gupta but this comment is totally wrong and would get marked off in a college freshman chemistry or physics exam. He was not talking about cosmic rays but rather a large and heavy particle composed of two protons and two neutrons that is energetic, but can barely pass through a sheet of paper. They are not to be taken lightly since if inhaled they can lodge in lung tissue and emit high energies and be almost impossible to remove.

I would like to no why a no go / exclusion zone of many miles as not shed in the ocean of a sufficient radius to protect against ocean going vessels getting into the areas of contaminated ocean, that surely go well beyond what is being reported, just think about the vessels, they all use sea water for cooling, and some if not most have the ability to make potable / drinking water from the ocean. If they are unlucky they would get contaminated machinery, if they are really unlucky?

How can Sanjay Gupta state that there is no health risk from the Fukushima plant. Has he been to Belarus lately? The radiation sickness continues to spread and change. We consumed contaminated food from Chernobyl radiation four years after the accident. In addition, low level of radiation is harmful. Just tell pregnant women and children that.
