Tonight the war in Libya is intensifying, as the United States considers military action in Libya. Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi continues to claim victories that do not yet exist. We're Keeping Them Honest. Plus, new disturbing images from Egypt, alleging proof of torture during Hosni Mubarak's regime.

any outside influence could give Qaddafi power to unite his country. I suspect there are millions of Libyans who are not in the forefront of media which might unite with Qaddafi if he can convince them that we want to take over their country and oil. It could be what Qaddafi is waiting for. If so, then we would be playing right into his hand!
@Nissrine,
I agree that Anderson has been doing a great job covering what has been happening in the Middle East. Also, that "This is real news". I appreciate that he doesn't interrupt his guests and lets them talk.
The will to live free is stronger than anything Gadhafi has. It will make the difference and Libya will be free of Gadhafi.
The reporters in Libya have a lot of courage–I pray they remain safe.
Leave Kadhafi alone!!! Where are the rebels getting the heavy hardware? They are not rebels they are foreign fighters. Let Kadhafi have his own fight!
I think I understand why the US cannot take the "lead" on this situation in Lybia.
What i cannot understand is why No One Else like say the Arab League, Europe, UN, NATO,...somebody take the lead and help the Lybian people.
It's not like this conflict is New news. Is this not the fourth week of battle?
Anderson,
CONGRATS on reaching 1M followers on Twitter!! We love you!!
There are news that Gaddafi has offered the rebels his conditional stepping down. Is that true?
What has Al-Qaeda said about Gadhafi's claims they are behind this? Has he been attacked by Al-Qaeda in the past?
What if the fighting continues to the point where the opposition needs more then a no-fly zone. would they be willing to recieve support from outside ground troops?
Anderson, there is no monolistic group or region in a country.Once a group is armed, they intimidate and violate the rights of anyone who opposes them. If I happened to be in Libya, I would expect the government to protect me from any factions.
@Nina,
"I find it difficult to watch Qaddafi’s hired guns"
I do also. It seems very frustrating as outside military help doesn't seem to be an answer for the Libyan people. I couldn't imagine living under that regime for 42yrs.
gadhafi:retrogressive/regressive minds with totalitarian behavior are hightly cyclical, it can turn into irreversible psychosis ,a low form of existence
Anderson,
Congrats on twitters!!!! Whoa, 1 million followers on Twitter!!!!!!!
It seams to me that the Western world is so careless in front of a mass murder of innocent civilians, this is very sad and something should be done soon. Anderson THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT COVERAGE, THIS IS REAL NEWS.
They are sure taking their time deciding about a no-fly zone. I imagine the closer the freedom fighters get to Tripoli the more armament will be brought out by Gadhafi.
Good evening Anderson, CNN and everyone.
This is terribly frightening, and I fear for the innocent lives of Libyans
and migrants. But there should be another another answer besides a no-fly zone, because that too is the beginning of invasion.
Evening everyone.
Thanks for sharing Debbie !
Qaddafi really has a delusion based in the “Banality of evil” He does not seem to view the killing of many Libyans as Nefarious. He views it as justifiable because these people are perceived as turned against him; therefore, traitors!
I am glad Nic got safe as he ducked while they were shooting.
Journalists have important jobs. They witness and document history while risking their lives.
AC360 and CNN international correspondents and staff: I give you all TWO thumbs up for bringing the world these amazing reports from these such dangerous places. Stay safe!
I am praying for a no fly zone, those poor people are dealing with a murderer.
Anderson,
You made 1 millions follow you all times, Congrats!!!!!!! Now I am following both of your blog!
Anderson, Good evening
How do you think peaceful protesters can take a city against an armed and trained army? What miracle does that?
Lol
what about the TV people inside Lybia. i fear everyday for their safty. who knows what would haappen to them if Gadhafi had them arrested.
Emily March 7th, 2011 10:04 pm ET
The Qaddafi Regime is so nefarious & delusional ... a truly deadly combination. I feel for the Libyan people who only want their freedom.
I Agree!!!
Is there any chance that the Army might turn against the Regime and join people rather than kill them?
Why is he targeting, anyway? He needs to get real. We see what is going on there!
Good evening Anderson & Team 360
Thank you Anderson for your commitment to the story of Lybia, it is much appreciated,
Hello, NancyOR, Nichole, Megan, Emily, JoAnn, Nina, Mike, Casey, Sharon H., Heather.....everyone.
@Kate
How can he not realize the world is getting more accurate and truthful information?
That is the core of Qaddafi's delusion!
maybe country will be willing to sell him a small property and he could move there with his family.
Thank You, Anderson and crew! Great reporting as always!. People in both Misrata and Zawiya are dying unarmed in their homes. Gaddafi Special Forces are using tanks and heavy artillery to attack the two cities.Gaddafi's nefarious regime bombing the Libyan people is outrageous and difficult to watch. The western world sound as they are enjoying watching live Hollowed movie. They gave Gadhafi the time he needed to recover and further entrench his brutality. I wonder if we share some responsibility by not raising our voices. The blood of the Libyan people is on our hands. I would like to thank Ben Wedeman for his heroic efforts to bring CNN viewers the current information in Libya. I am asking him to stay safe.
This is so distrubing video I have seen....... Right now, it is so worst I have see people got shot or never stop war..... It is very dangerous this place.
video looks very chaotic! Gadhafi still doesn't believe that there are people who wants him to step down? clearly delusional!
The Qaddafi Regime is so nefarious & delusional ... a truly deadly combination. I feel for the Libyan people who only want their freedom.
Hi Anderson and everyone,
Happy Monday!
How can he not realize the world is getting more accurate and truthful information?
Qaddafi is delusional based since he thinks that everyone believes what he states without question.
Evening Anderson and everyone, hope you had a great weekend. It would be nice if Gadhafi would just leave Libya and let the people of that country live in peace
good MONDAY evening, everyone!!!!
Hi! Anderson 🙂 CONGRATS on reaching 1M followers on Twitter!! We love you!!
Good evening, everyone.
Good evening Anderson and everyone
I find it difficult to watch Qaddafi’s hired guns quelling a war on peaceful demonstrations for humanity by using bullets.
Good Evening Anderson and Everyone else.
How much longer can the blood sheed go on in Lybia. i fear that we are getting to the point were a No-Fly Zone alone will not work. How much longer can we allow this Mad-Dog to continue to kill the brave citizens of Lybia.
