Inside the Fight for Libya: Join the Live Chat

[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/02/liveblogfinal.copy.jpg]

A day of battles in Libya. Government forces tried to retake a strategic oil rich city. The opposition held onto the city. We'll talk with CNN's Ben Wedeman who escaped one battle with opposition forces after bombs fell from Libyan Air Force jets.  We'll also hear from CNN's Nic Robertson who was at a rambling two-and-half speech by Moammar Gadhafi. And, Anderson will speak with a Libyan government spokesman to see how the regime's message matches up against the facts.

We are pleading to our government to stand up and back the opposition. Let's give them legitimacy too by interviewing them. Give the face time so our can stop looking at them as a bunch of opportunist. I am sure amongst them the leader had emerged.

About this church, how do they learn that someone is gay when they plan to attack one of these funerals? This is a whole lot of effort spent on hating individuals as opposed to teaching people in the congregation (randomly speaking) Christian values.

So called practicing Muslim and Libyan head Mr. M.Gadaffi, screaming and blaming the western countries during his last UN submit speech and the other hand looting his own countries assets for 40 years and accumulating more than 30 billion dollars in his family lockers.
The world leaders should remove their political masks and try to see through, common individuals eyes to visualize proper justice to Libya.

Another interesting hour, very informative. Once again I am disappointed in our European cousins and their inaction. Since most of their oil comes from the Middle East, unlike us, they should be more involved in what is going on.

Good night everyone. Thank you Anderson, CNN and it's fantastic reporters and analysts.

Thank you Anderson & Team 360 for staying with the story of Lybia – the lies grow more comples everyday.

Good night fellow writers, i love this blog!

I wish everyone a safe & peaceful day tomorrow.

I'm personally disappointed about the Westboro Church, but free speech is free speech. Hopefully, some other way can be found to deal with them (lawfully).

I understand the Supreme Court's decision. I don't understand the subject that caused the decision. Social morality and that church don't go together.

I did hear that any municipality can ban that kind of demonstration – I guess the ball is back in the local court – so to speak. Viet Nam vets will take care of their own. They'll shield the funerals – love them – America's great veterans.

Good night all. Stay strong Libya.

Can I ask any Arabs here how would you feel if America helped these people? As a person that believes that we should use force to stop this person from futher bloodshead but not want to look bad in the Arab world.I believe a coalition or Middle East countries with American help could get this guy from power and give the country to the people. They want change and multiple nations, not only us can make this right.
