No American journalistic report, paper, radio or television coverage is doing justice to the situation on the ground in Libya. To wit:
Libya has never been constituted as a State like Tunisia or Egypt. Libya is 90 % desert and inhabited by 150 tribes divided into sub-tribes and clans, and confederated into groups in three major regions:

    1. CYRENEICA – (Benghazi, capital ) The Warfallah – Region turned toward Egypt
    2. TRIPOLITANIA – (Tripoli, Capital) The Meghara (warrior confederation) – Region turned toward Tunisia
    3. FEZZAN – (Sebba, Capital) TUAREGS – Region turned towards Niger, Mali and the Sahara desert, home of the Tuaregs, autocthonous people of Libya.

The two principal tribal confederations, the Warfallah of Cyraneica and the Meghara of Tripolitania were rallied under Khadafi who in marrying the daughter of a royal tribesman of Cyreneica, of the Barasa tribe, brought Cyraneica under his rule.. However, bad blood existing for a long time exploded the system of alliances in February 2011. Khadaffi lost Cyraneica and its tribes, but still maintains power over those of Tripolitania and the Fezzan , even if it is tenuous power, and allegiances are presently iffy.

Today, the central questionn is what the MEGHARA of Tripolitania , warriors of Libya, will decide. If they remain neutral in this reshifting of alliances, Khadaffi will maintain power for a while If they abandon Khadaffi, there is little he can do on the support of his tribe only, the Khadidja (150,000). He will meet his end, and Libya will have to face its intertribal politics.

The future of Libya may well be tribal rivalries (as in Somalia). perhaps to the advantage of al Qaeda .

On the day that Obama came out and spoke against Gadhafi's attack against his people, There was a news team on Conservative Fox Cable News that reported that Obama's comments were late because, according to that news team on Conservative Fox Cable News, they insisted that the protests were over. Well that was aproximately 5 to 6 days ago. Thank you Cooper Anderson for reporting the news on Lybia accurately. Your reporting is far more accurate than Conservative Fox Cable News anytime.

I am so inspired at the bravery of the Libyan peoples standing up to the bully. I am so moved that I wish I could go there with a million of us US peoples and just carry Gadhafi away and toss him in the ocean. I think we need to act and stop another killing of these peoples today. Screw politics , with the help of all of us we could peacefully remove the tyrant from office by sheer numbers
