An email received today 2/26/11 from an esteemed friend living in Tripoli, Libya "Zawia is surrounded by tanks, but the center is still in the hands of it's people. Have to do something to prevent a massacre."
Note: Zawia is approx. 30 miles from Tripoli.
I am concerned for Anderson Cooper's well-being as a person and as an unbiased journalist. Just as an investigator looking into a crime needs to pull back and not get personally involved, Anderson has put himself all-in.
It was clear that Anderson had a tear streaking down his face while listening to a heart wrenching account from a young lady of the war crimes occurring in Tripoli. He himself was brutally assaulted in Cairo as a part of this revolutionary wave.
I hope that Anderson pulls back a bit. We have seen this story all too often. CNN, don't allow Anderson to delve too deep, he may never resurface to be the intriguing, tantilizing, solid CNN presence he has always been.

Why would the US government allow any dictator, terrorist or their gand of brutes to have any financial dweelings in US banks? This is in response to President Obama freezing all of Libya and Gadhafi's assets in the US. We will label these guys terrorists, murderers, maniacs and fugitives but then turn around allow them to invest their money and assets in US based interests.
