The U.S. State Department will attempt to evacuate Americans out of Libya tomorrow on a chartered ferry. We have the breaking details. Plus, an eyewitness to the uprising risks his life to speak out and talk on camera. And, four Americans are killed by pirates at sea.

    @Mike, formerly from Syracuse,
Considering that Qaddafi thought that he was going to be the ruler of ALL the Arab countries, perhaps the people were "telling him that he's no God". (as well as praying)

I am really hoping that the caller last night is wrong in her prediction. She was saying that Gadahfi will kill all Libyans before stepping down.

I apprecited your remark about Gadhafi being the one who takes the "drugs" that he accuses his people of taking.
He many be Off his meds too!

I also pray for the Americans, or anyone else that is trapped in Lybia. I don't understand why the evacuation was not called for earlier.
It was Clear that Lybia was going inot full revolt!

There is no room for an oppressive leader in the world today. The people of this generation shall not and will not accept a goverment that is physically, financially or politically oppressive.

It's such an interesting word, 'martyr', isn't it molly? I always wonder how people use it re: taking others with them. I would think martyrdom would have to come from within so that each individual would have to make the decision for himself...rather than someone else deciding to 'martyr' them.

I read that Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi Hired African mercenary thugs are killing people with machine guns in the streets of Tripoli. Is this true?

As concerned as I am for Ben Wedeman's safety, the information he can bring from first hand observations and conversations with Libyans is invaluable. I'm glad to hear that morale in the army is so bad. Hopefully they will not follow their orders from Gadhafi.

I pray for the safety of the americans who are trying to leave Libya. If they have to leave in only a few hours,,are they going to be safe trying to get to the port?

@Mike, formerly from Syracuse, "'Hullicination pills'? Really? That's the best he can do?"

It sounded to me like Gadhafi may have been taking some of those "hallucination pills" himself.

I saw part of Gadhafi's speech today. The man reminded me of what Jim Jones looked like hours before the mass suicide. He talked about the drugs others are taking but from what I observed today, he is the one that appears medicated. I think he is willing to martyr himself and take others with him.

"cadaffi will win the war i think"
Qaddafi sure is putting up a Battle, however, I don't think that he will win the War.

Gadhafi ia Terrorist & a murder, which he proved from 1970's to Now!

Now, he is willing to kill (murder) his own people.
I pray for the people of Lybia and hope that not many will die.

My prayers for the Lybian people is that they overthrow Gadhafi and find the Freedom they want so much as well as the dignity.

Muammar is not a stable man I think we've all established that. And how certain are we this evacuation notice will ensure the safety of Americans trying to leave Libya?

At the moment I feel that the United States is wise in not getting involved. The U.S. should step in if the situation becomes like Bosnia. Until then it is a UN situation. I feel for the people of Libya but it simply is not an American situation. We would risk it turning into the 1979 Iranian revolution.

Hi everyone. If Gadhafi has the blood of Americans and so many others on his hands then why did Obama smile at him and shake his hand?

Gadhafi appears to be mentally instable and just what he says proves that too and I have no doubt in my mind that he will kill everyone like he said he would

    Good evening everyone.

I listened to Gadhafi's speech as long as I could. It seems to me, that he's scared. The more scared he is the more he postures to cover his fear. I also believe he may have the substance problem not his citizens.

I couldn't believe the rant that Qaddafi went on. I heard about the fatwa that was issued on him, I wonder if he expects that to be carried out, and that's why he said that he is going "to die a martyr"?

Good evening Anderson and everyone. I can certainly understand the need to evacuate Americans from Libya. I hope everyone who wants to get out can get out. Gadhafi doesn't seem to be in his right mind and his appearance and wording seems more bizarre by the day.
