    Gates' underlying premise was no need for military intevention by the US. He is absolutely right.
    I have watched this guy in senate Hearings over the years and you can see over time his progressively increasing disdain facially and in his style of responses for the political overseers.
    No wonder He wants out of his job soon.
    That will be very sad. He has been a great Defence secretary and the best for a very, very long time.
