Iran's Brutal Crackdown: Join the Live Chat

[cnn-photo-caption image=http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/01/02/liveblogfinal.copy.jpg]

Tonight a 360° exclusive. You'll hear from a protester in Iran who's risking her life to speak out. The Iranian government is cracking down on the demonstrations following Egypt's uprising. That's after they praised the people of Egypt. We're Keeping Them Honest. Plus, will Mississippi's governor denounce attempts to honor a KKK leader?

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Gov.Haley Barbour still has some chance for GOP nomination... unless he insists on doing these stupid heroics of celebrating confederate extremists.

    Anderson,
I have been watching your interview on birth certificate for Presidential proof of birth. You stated that a short form birth certificate is all that is required to get a passport by the federal government. I just recently applied for a passport for my 14 year old daughter. When we went for our appointment and we were told that the "short" form birth certificate was NOT acceptable for proof of citizenship and that we had to apply for and provide a long form birth certificate to obtain a United States passport. We reside in Dallas Tx.

I can understand the state wanting to commemorate their history, but this type of history should not be celebrated. If you were the govenor, would you really want something like this to represent your state to the rest of the country or even the rest of the world?

What is with Mississippi? Do they not have any heros that ALL PEOPLE would look up to?

Ok – this might sound unpopular, but let them have the license plate. We really shouldn't hide history or we're doomed to repeat it – AND – I think I'd like to know who the haters are.

Wasn't this license plate stuff a project of the Sons of Confederate Veterans?? It's Mississippi. Enough said.

Why are "birthers" complaining about Obama, who was born in Hawaii when it was a state, but never complained about McClain, who was born in the CZ, outside of the US? McClain was born outside of the US, Obama was born in the US, yet they're questioning Obama?

Yes. Iran dictator is willing to use nukes to stay in power. I think One thing that can scare them is talking and willing to freeze their individual assets around the world.
One thing that you can do to help us Iranian with our uprising is to show interest in events going on there.
    Thanks.

    @Anderson & Jeffrey Toobin,

Outstanding reporting tonight! Anderson, you questions to the Montana birther were great.

Jeffrey, your insights on the birther's claims and the constitution were fantastic. Thank you so much for your commentary.

@Bahar sassani: They American Government has to be tactful when dealing with the Iranian protests, because if they support the Green Movement very clearly, the Iranian regime will say the protesters are linked to America. That is what the regime always does. They always want to blame everything on foreign influence.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder if we just misunderstand our rights as citizens of the country, how can the man say one must have both parents born here beofre they can be citizens, does he really know the history of this country, no one person is a true american, forefathers of this country are the rebels from europe until then one of these days an arab orign american will be president
after what they claim african from kenya

    Hello Everyone,
Anderson, you keep helping us all understand the issues, and make it so clear, what is a fact, and what is "opinion", I truly appreciate your work. Thank YOU.
As for Bob Wagner, OMG, I cannot believe he said "pure"!! Is he indicating that those whose parents are immigrants are not "pure Americans"? That is so racist!

Every state has its own constitution. That does not exempt them from the U.S.Constitution.. The very fact that Montana is part of the U.S.A make them subject to the U.S. Constitution.

@Casey & Sandra – i agree with both of you.
Continued exposure by the media through whatever means will help keep the spot light on the Iranian gov. and their continued repression and absolutely brutal tactics.

Loved the cat burgler story. That cat is really funny. I onece had a cat that stole my socks. It would sometime take me days to find them. In this case, it wasn't the washer or dryer that was losing my socks. LOL

It is the stated objective of the Republican Party to ensure Obama is a one-term President. Reviving the "birther" issue is but one of the means they will employ to do this. There is nothing they won't stoop to, repeatedly, to achieve this goal. Clearly, these Republicans are the most embarrassingly stupid version of their party ever to sit in Congress and you can expect to see evermore gobsmackingly mindless efforts on their part to attempt to bring Obama down. What else explains Rush Limbaugh? Citizens United? Heck, even Clarence Thomas?

People of Iran please continue to speak out, you have the worlds attetion. Why are we still debating the president's birthplace? He's half black, get it over it, and he's doing the best he can. We in the U.S. need to set an example of acceptance so countries like Iran can one day have the rights we do. God be with Lara.

WOW – by Warner's definition, I am not a natural born citizen either. I guess my father's 14 years of U.S. Army service doesn't help me because my mother is Korean born. Or maybe I'm not a natural born citizen because she became a citizen 5 years after I was born. Thank goodness I have no plans on running for President.

It is COMPLETELY OFFENSIVE to put that proven KKK leader/member's name on license plate... staring in the face of drivers who follow... and all that. The very fact that it would be proposed says a lot about that State.
Virginia in particular has been a very disappointing state from their utter lack of sensitivity to peaceful co-existence. Never forget that peaceful co-existence is an essential component of a successful democracy.

I find the idea of Montana establishing their own rules regarding citizenship rather amusing. Are they seceding from the nation? These Birthers are certainly an odd bunch.
