(CNN) - Global efforts are intensifying to seize assets belonging to Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak following the revolution in the north African nation.

The former Egyptian leader may now be resident in Sharm el-Sheikh following his flight last week from Cairo – but where is his fortune?

    you know why mubarak suffer now because he trust his son while he still young also he forget while he start as prsident that he say only one period any how we are egyptian respect him and will know every thank very soon so pls up till now he our pervious president which we respect but now we are looking for new bold to cary on the responsability so untill we find out we respect our previous president.

    I think the question should be, Where is OUR
    money Murbarak has taken. Since we have provided billions to Egypt since 2007 for
    the military (?). How come we never have these
    countries be accountable for all this foreign
    aid?

    If he had his money in Switzerland he can kiss it goodbye. I bet the money is spread in a million places; it may never be all accounted for. Of course, he could have hidden it in his mattress – did anyone notice when he left if he was carrying a mattress with him??
