Anderson, I haven't been that afraid for anyone in a very long time. You, your cameraman and your producer are very dedicated and brave people. So is your mom. Like everyone else, I adore you and every glorious untilted word that you speak. We truly do NEED you safe and sound. God obviously thinks highly of you too so that's GOOD. That's REAL good. You really are irreplaceable.
I watched the show last night and wanted to say I am glad you are safe. If you are willing to be there during this upheaval then it must be important enough for all of us to pay attention to Egypt.
Glad to see you did not get hurt, there are no marks on your face. I wonder how is the cameraman though, hope he is fine.
Is Ivan Watson all right, he was still at the Tahrir Square.
Stay safe
Thank you so much for the work that you are doing. Please keep up the good work. Don't let Mubarak and his thugs kill this movement along with its people. The Egyptian people need the world to know the truth. They have finally found their voice and him and his gang are trying to take that away. Please keep us in your prayers as we will keep you in ours.
mr.anderson,in yours video from kairo we can see people injured, and your comments look like egyptian pro mubarak are agressive and anti mubarak peacefull, you have to be objective what happen in kairo, this few hundred or thousand of people doesn't represent all nation of egypt, some protesting people probably don't know exactly what they want,it is some kind of amock, they follow other protesting people, if you understand peoples behavior in large group, they fight ich other, because of sytuation and they don't know nothing about democracy, sure it is happening which has impact on arabs world and relation with western world and it is important for peace in middle east and rest of the world, but you have to comment this crisis objective, and take into consideration bouth side of conflict, and you have to understand specyfic mentality of muslims and arab religions which existing thousands of years
Stay well AC you are a role model to so many and we wish you safe harbor in your journey. AC you are the face of the legit press as you speak and act with the utmost integrity.
Anderson, I just watched the news feed of you being attacked while walking through the crowd. Please get out of there, come home, they are in mob mode and cannot be trusted.
Anderson Cooper you are a true hero of our time! You always put yourself on the front line for the sake of the story and I really respect that! I am not normally a fan of mainstream media but you sir are one of the few exceptions! Thank you for standing up against the oppression of another nations people. It shows true leadership! We need more people like you. If there was a question before, this video certainly exposes Mubarak's supporters for what they truely are: a gang of thugs. Be Safe!
I love watching ur show but in America... I pray for ur safety, please come home...
You reporters are brave for bringing us these stories, but please CNN, your constant retelling of the plight of your reporters is detracting from the stories of the real heroes of Tahrir square: the egyptian people who are risking all for democratic change. Your constant retelling of Anderson Cooper's being roughed up is now appearing narcissistic. Concentrate on interviewing the Egyptians and give us more insight into their lives and their risks.
From Maryland,
I have to say after see this news clip, it really piss me off and all I wanted to do was call a friend in Egypt and get to you and protect you and your crew. I have to say thank you to the Egyptian men who help protect you and your crew and GOD BLESS THEM for doing that. It take a lot of courage to stand out in a crowd and do what's truely right when all has gone wrong. I want to say to the Egyptian people stay strong in your fight for freedom and never waver in that, but please take note that over the course of history, words and standing as a united front as one, will always win out in the end over violence. Violence just blurs the lines and issue, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE learn from past history and find another way of getting what you want done with out the loss of life, because life is to precious to lose.
I pray for Eygptian freedom, and for the PROTECTION OF ANDERSON COOPER AND CNN CREW.
You all are truely amazing people and i will continue to follow what going on over there in Cairo Egypt. Please stay safe!
I'm call on our President Obama to do what he can to help settle this issue over there. I know our military is spread out and we are already in a fight, but at some point we have to know when to pull back or out and let them figure it out for thereselves. I call it sink or swim, Stand or Fall, but stop killing our journalist who are there to help you by reporting what is going on and reporting the issue and what you want to get out of your protest, hurting our journalist only tells us that you have no true honor, and you don't stand true for freedom. Gain your freedom the right way, with out thousands of lose of life.
Thank You,
Maurice
CNN keep AC and crew safe. I'm watching!!!
You are a brave guy for going through that just to catch footage for the US. I must say I respect you a lot and I hope you and your camera men are safe 😀
Obviously the pro-Mubarak side wants to discourage journalists from witnessing what is happening and what might happen in the future.
As it is the pro regime crowds are escalating to throwing molotov cocktails into the protesters. If foreign journalists back away then violence against the protesters will only get worse.
Kudos for being brave and sticking with it and not just staying in the hotel.
It's obvious you are an American. We expect all people, particularily in the setting you were in and doing what you were doing, to behave in a civilized manner.
I'm gladd you're OK....please be carefull, I.m praying for you
For civilians, you and your crew are very brave soldiers! (Not to take any glory or praise away from the US Military (I'm a retired member) but, you came under attack, stayed true to your mission and made it through honorably. As you continue to bring us fantastic coverage of the events Egypt REMEMBER, keep your heads down and your eyes open. God Speed My Friend!
I'm in France, i saw the video on a French channel and i recognized you. Be strong and safe Anderson, thanks people like you we know what is going on in the world. I'm a big fan of you. God bless you and take care.
I am not trying to get stuck watching 24 hours of chaos in another country once again taking their anger out on Foreign journalists. I watched the footage shown by CNN and I cannot understand why they were beat up the messengers. People whom expressed that they wanted to a peaceful controlled protest once again showed me that their are people with their own separate agendas.
Americans are once again reminded of their freedoms while they watched their fellow Americans be physically terrorized in another country. I hope Anderson recovered from the Chaos. I wish people would stop showing this evil abuse as actual peaceful action.
AC I am so happy that you are OK please come back home we need you here. I am praying for you guys!! God Bless You!
Dear AC and Crew,
It is comforting to see that you are all well. Sure, it is hugely important to report what is happening in Egypt but your safety is of greater concern.
Please pass this on to the network: We want Michael Ware back!! He has written that "he is not the same person when he returned from Iraq". CNN has to pay better attention and care to their journalists as they risk their lives for the network. CNN should learn from ABC regarding how to treat their journalists, especially as they suffer through harsh times when reporting from the field.
Stay safe and come home now!!
Your would be Mom
Good work and Take Care AC. Make a 360 and return home.
I hope your ok Mr Cooper. Be safe.
You are the best reporter in CNN I watch you daily, thanks for bring us the news the way it is. Please stay safe.
Anderson, they'd love for you to leave Egypt. But don't listen to anyone claiming you and other foreign journalists should leave. They want only the Government version of what's happening to get out. Its unfortunate that the other EG stations aren't willing to come back online and broadcast. Check with Dream TV in EG. I have a contact if you need it.
While I sympathize with you and your crew getting knocked about a bit, this video tells us nothing newsworthy. Were your attackers pro or anti Mubarak? Did you have no translator available to tell you what the attackers were shouting at you? What real information does this convey?
Anderson,
You and all your colleagues of journalists are heroes to cover such a big event like that. Thugs of Mobarak regieme were your attackers. This show the whole world how Mobarak and his criminals were ruling Egypt. I am sure that all Egyptians appreciate your bravery to cover that event and to show the whole world how we were suffering for 30 years.
Many thanks goes to you and your team and all free journalists around the free world. Good bless you all.
Thank you

l am in DC since l saw this video l cant stop worrre about Anderson Cooper. God safe you guys. God bless u
What you experienced, was what I saw happening any time an Egyptian felt "slighted" in the least, even before the protests. They flash into unrestrained hostility at a drop of a pin & attack each other over finder benders and the like. The police & military did nothing ever about it. Its been allowed & so what you experienced is what the average Egypt lived with daily. Scapegoats are the norm in Egyptian society and unfortunately the journalists are the current scapegoat of Mubarak. Welcome to the world of Egypt.
Sounds like its getting a little hot there, Glad you Made it safly out of that snafu. Maybe you might look into private security? Keep on keeping on anderson we believe in what your trying to do.

Hi AC, I'm Indonesian. I'm glad you're ok. take care and be safe. may GBU.
Mr. Anderson,
i would like to clarify something to avoid any misunderstanding for what happened in Cairo @ Tahrir square ,
some spies & agents for Israel , Hezb allah (Lebanon) were captured by the people in Suez & Cairo yesterday morning and this is true as i live in suez city & saw Israelian engineer captured in suez in the middle of demonstrations sending reports to unknown people while he is not a reporter for any kind of newspaper, news channels or any legal / known side (he said he is an engineer & refused to tell to whom he send this reports) while there was no one from Israel or hizb allah_Lebanon before the demonstrations ...... any how i just want to explain the reaction of the people as once they knew about agents between them, they become subspecies about any foreigners , also the government wanted to take this as advantage to publish this news to keep the journalist away from the field , i saw your report yesterday 5:00 AM cairo time & i felt sorry for you but as i know the reason i wanted to tell you to get a full vision about people reaction
Regards,
Anderson is doing a great job reporting on the ground. I support him, his team and the other brave journalists attempting to get the true story out to the world.
AC: Good to see you and Hala in one piece!! Out of all your reports that I have seen with you both, this has got to be one of the most insane. It's too bad that people have to make a riot of an issue that may have been able to be dealt with peacefully. But if you shake the bottle long enough, pressure will build and explode. You both and your camera teams take care and watch your backs.
Anderson I do hope your crew and you are ok. Please be careful these people are being run by the government and do not care who gets hurt. I feel so sorry for the people who had a peaceful protest that turned deadly.
Be safe and Thank you to your crew and you for reporting this to the world. I wish we could go in and take care of this problem for the people of Egypt.
Reporting the news OBJECTIVELY is important; but it is time for American journalists to leave and be a role-model for other citizens to use common sense of safety. There is no need to try to get "one-up" on competitor news agencies. Other countries' journalists can forward news reports to you.
My prayers are with the press and with the peaceful protesters. I have followed the news coverage diligently;I have watched the Egyptian governments tactics unfold. It is obvious to see why an uprising occurred in the country.Mubarak is responsible for the injuries and death of his people.
I have a feeling that the people hiting Anderson, are all Mukhbarat (Mukhbarat= Egyptian Secret police-in plain clothes).
90% of teh protesters want mubarak gone. These pro -mubarak people look like police paid agents etc. etc. etc.
Attacking journalists etc. This is obviously some state actor involved.
hello Mr Anderson i would like to thank you on behave every truly Egyptian not these animals that stopped you today from giving us the truth about what's happening in Egypt, and i am truly sorry about what you and your team have suffered yesterday from all kind of violence..thee are not our manners but our president and his gangs they are the one that built these gangs and they follow him lie what you saw yesterday.
Please come home Anderson... getting this story is not worth your life.
AC – Watching the video of you and your crew was completely unnerving. I hope you and your crew can surreound yourself with a few more of the kind Egyptian men who helped you through that mess. Have you heard anything about Mary Thornberry, the 76 y.o. US retiree who is unable to leave her apartment that is right off the square? She is holding lootrs and thugs off with her knife and a rolling pin all by herslef. I am so worried for her. I have written the WH and the State Department trying to get someone to pay attention to her plight. If you do it safely, can you see about trying to get her out of there or finding someone who will rescue her? Thank you
Dear Anderson,
This kind of journalism is you at your best! Thank you! I will be praying for your safe return home.
God Bless You!
GC
What you and the rest of the CNN journalists and the international and local media are doing in Cairo these days is heroism in its finest banner. Hold on with faith and courage! You are not alone. The truth will set Egypt free!
Shame on all these people, they will turn on Americans in a heart beat. When we are always there for the world we unfortunately are expected to take abuse. Is this lack of education or just hate?
Dude, you must have ice water in your veins. I don't think I could have kept my cool for even 15 seconds of what you guys just went through. Stay safe. We're spreading the word about what's happening to journalists on the alternate, social media as well.
It seems obvious to me who is behind this thuggery, and every minute he's not gone is another minute too long.
We love you Anderson, bless you and your team. It would appear that Mubarac is self serving & has little respect for fellow humans. May the days of him and strong men like him, be not long.
Dear Anderson, you are representing the United States and all the freedoms our country stands for and our constitution guarantees us. You and your crew are very brave and truly courageous. I am keeping you all in my prayers and know that a ragging mob has to be one of life's most terrifying experiences. The blood lust is dreadful. I want you to stay safe as your fine reporting is a beacon to all Journalists from a freedom loving world.May God hold you all in the hollow of his hand.
Anderson, Come home now. Thank You for your reports. You're really brave, but my wife and I want to continue watching your nightly newscasts. It's not safe or smart to stay in Cairo. Damn them for hitting you.
Anderson I very glad you are ok. It made me sad to see you in such danger and for your crew as well. I am sadden by all of this. What has this world come to? The anger and hatered that these people have is horrible. I wish that all of you reporters from the United States would just come home. I understand it's your job but do you have to be right out in the middle of the danger? Please Anderson stay safe and come home. You being there will not make these people change what they are doing and you being hurt or even worse killed will not make this world a better place. Trisha- Louisville, oh
