Pomp and circumstance mark arrival of Chinese leader

CNN Wire Staff

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden welcomed Chinese President Hu Jintao to the White House in a formal arrival ceremony Wednesday morning.

The Chinese leader's limousine pulled up to the White House South Portico shortly after 9 a.m., where he was met with a military honor guard and review - part of the traditional pomp and circumstance reserved for visiting leaders of major powers.

Obama hailed Hu's visit as a chance to lay a foundation for the next 30 years of Sino-American relations.

"At a time when some doubt the benefits of cooperation between the United States and China, this visit is ... a chance to demonstrate a simple truth," Obama said. "We have an enormous stake in each other's success. In an interconnected world, in a global economy, nations - including our own - will be more prosperous and more secure when we work together."

Obama also alluded to the importance of human rights - a traditional point of contention in relations between Washington and Beijing.

Early American Trade with China ? So,what commodities of the trade ? We want their tea, ginseng, silk and porcelan and may the US pay with silver ? We need to make our little kid toys in the USA. We need to make our furniture in the USA and textiles are back.Watch the tax !The Chinese are very smart and sharp in business. Wonder if Hu would have time to sit down with Donald Trump before leaving the country ? That John King interview with Trump adds perspective to the mercantilism and how to deal with the trade imbalance.Feel the tax sensation and rock it to the next generation. No time for relaxation and paddle fast on currency balanced even trade with China.

Integrating culturally, cooperation and friendly competition. ABC television has Hillary Clinton on and she's speaking about Chinese firms that still are failing to comply fully with UN santions and suggested Washington could impose it's own sanctions.Keep your eye on those unilateral sanctions ! No nukes for Iran and world peace "START" now. Increase US exports by more than $45 billion and it means 235,000 American jobs including manufacturing for the USA. China boosts investments in US by several billion dollars.Explain that and get specific ! "We have a lot of stuff we want to sell you." I liked it when Obama said that ! What has happened to our 100% polyester fabric that's being made in China and has some sort of weird feeling lining that's suppose to be an energy savings ? Good deal at $9.00. Just line the curtain with some 100% fabric and something feels funny about that 100% polyester. Get our textile industry back to the USA and we'll buy silk from China. Hillary Clinton says she's looking foward to private life and one term is it for her ? Does that mean we can't sneak her in for president as a write in ? No nuclear weapons Iran and paddle fast China for World Peace !
