Welcome to our 3rd annual Golden Globes Live Blog. I'm your host and, in case you're wondering, my qualifications include once meeting Ricky Gervais at the Chateau Marmont and working for several years in a video store/tanning parlor.
I'll be with you from 8pm Eastern Time until the conclusion of the East Coast telecast. Now, to be clear, we're not advocating changing your channel from CNN. But if you're going to watch the Golden Globes anyway, you might as well watch them with us as your running commentary. And frankly, you don't even need to be watching the Golden Globes to enjoy the live blog.
Disclaimer: I'm sure some of these movies/TV shows are connected to CNN through our parent companies Turner Broadcasting and Time Warner. HBO, Warner Brothers and New Line Cinemas are just a few of our high-profile sister companies. But seeing as how another year has gone by and I've not gotten so much as a free hat or poster, I'm not in the tank for anyone. Except for Betty White. Not that she's even nominated. I'm just in the tank for her in general.

Anybody know what Deniro said that was "bleeped"?
Was anyone else feeling very old as Trent reznor won a golden globe for musical score, and looking totally straight-laced and boring? What happened to angsty NIN Trent reznor? Head like a hole? Closer? I'm feeling ancient.

Who thinks Ricky is throwing a fit backstage because the crowd isn't getting his comedy and that's why he hasn't come onstage in quite a while?
Can anyone explain why The Tourist (which I thought was a thriller) is in the Best Comedy or Musical category? Is the Hollywood Foreign Press Association just trying to be ironic?

Is Deniro reading a telepronter? Cuz I don't think it's a "spur of the moment" speech.
DeNiro's... not gonna lie... kinda bombing. A lot of polite "oh I see what you did there" it seems. Would have preferred a more solemn approach rather than what seemed to be a token speech.

DeNiro is among the greatest...such a range of ability...drama, suspense, comedy....excels at it all....thank you Mr. D.
RHOA on – no problem got Fios and sticking with GG hoping that Ricky can come out to play again.
DeNiro....like Pacino, Beatty, Nicholson, Hoffman, Eastwood, Duvall....is a true icon. I saw him once eating breakfast in Manhattan. I tried not to stare...after about five minutes of staring.
So, Jack, I think it's about time for you to break out the free snacks. You are providing free snacks, right?

This country really needs to lighten up. Ricky is a comic. He is suppose to cross the line. That is what almost all comics do! What cracks me up the most, is that if most of those people weren't on tv with the chance of being seen laughing, they would be laughing their butts off at what he is saying! People just really need to relax a little and quit being so serious. This is why British tv is soooo much better than ours!
