About those little girl pageants...I believe that not only should cable NOT give time to these shows, but some of the parents should be locked up for child abuse. What is wrong with these people who do these things to little kids? If an inner city mother ripped the skin off her kid's head, Social Services would be taking away the child.

    Hi Anderson,

I just watched with horror, the young child being forced to have her eyebrows waxed. I'm a CASA (Court Appointed Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children). To me this riduclous, unnecessary procedure this terrified child is being forced to endure (all for the sake of her mother's vanity),is a form of child abuse/neglect. I hope you will check with the proper authorities to ensure the physical and emotional welbeing and safety of this child. Her mother needs real emotional and/or psychological counseling to help her deal with whatever issues she has.

Please take this seriously. This child, and many others who are being subjected to some of these
"child beauty pagents" are victims of their parents' distorted thinking and needs. I can't speak about all parents who make their children participate in these absurd "pageants", but certainly the ones you have profiled are over the top. This child could be emotionally damaged for the rest of her life, unless she and her mom get the help they need.

I will check with my CASA director as well.

    Thank you.

Anderson, my you are so testy about the oil spill report! Watching you every night last summer, it was very obvious you were hyping the spill and the impact, with no balance at all. What goes around comes around.
