I hope there is follow up to this story. This poor guy. NExt time I go to work cholera tents in Haiti and someone unfortuneatley dies, am I going to be suffeled off to jail for an undetermined amount of time?
This is an outrage. Our government needs to be on top of this. I hope to see follow up interviews and media closely monitoring what our government is doing about it.
Thank you so much for airing your piece on Paul Waggoner, the aid worker currently in the Haitian prison. My brother is BP (Big Paul Sebring) and I wanted to let you know that a critical part of the story is missing. LP (Paul Waggoner) was actually released by the judge before being rearrested, landing him in prison. How?? BP and LP provided all of the documentation and the Judge agreed that there was NOT enough to hold him and let him go. LP was rearreted later for the same charges and the judge disappeared for a while. The have since then found the Judge but corruption and the threat of violence being what they are......well, check it out for yourself.

I want to thank you for covering this story. Paul Waggoner is an amazing man and MMRC is an incredible organization. I was working at Hatian Community Hospital with LP the week this happened and I am in shock that such a kind, caring, giving man has been placed in such a terrible position. Paul has an army backing him up and doing everything possible to help him. Thank you again for covering this story and helping spread the word.
I watched this video of Paul and it seems that the American is stuck in a jail for the reason of a man whom wanted to blame someone. The story basically proves his innocents with people backing him up and still the injustice of him in a prison with out legal help.( where is Amnesty International on this one?)This is just one of the reasons I staid away from the Haiti issues. To get press and American sympathy to a country that was already financially messed up before the earthquake. He needs a great attorney a lot of money because that is basically what those people want money. He should sue the lawyer that did not do their job and look into the situation. When you deal with very poor countries your dealing with the government and Americas' hesitation to get involved.If The mistake was he went back.
