I am an African-American Muslim.I can not believe that she would make such a statement. Does Renee Ellmers know that a big percent of North Carolina Residents are Law-Abiding,Hardworking,God-Fearing Muslims.

Just a quick history lesson, Constantine the Great converted to Christianity on the eve of a battle with barbarians, and when the emperor converts the empire converts. There was never a Christian army that attacked Rome and built the Vatican. St. Peter's church was actually commissioned by the emperor himself on the site of an old racetrack. The site was chosen not because a pagan shrine had been there, but because Nero had buried Saint Peter under the grounds of this amusement area.

The mosque debate is legit of course, but the information that Anderson was attacking her with was so wrong it made me shake my head. I know the Congresswoman didn't have the history of the Vatican in front of her, but Anderson should have done much better background before attacking her on that front.

This lady seems to be stuck in some sort of zone with her wide eyes. Muslims never equate with she is obviously misguided and has not idea what she is talking about. Ms. Elmers get your facts straight!

I can't believe all Repulicans want to kill the 9/11 responders bill. Was a Repulican interviewed? There have to be two sides to this. Do they want to refine the bill and then pass it?

Jeeez Anderson, you don't seem to realize that the US has been bamboozled and confused by a handful of dangerous criminals who recruit the disenfranchised to act as a shield for their very un-American intentions. True that not all Muslims are terrorists but very few terrorists are not Muslims as it turns out. So, pretending that a newly elected government official should be catering to a suspect minority group is more than transparent, it is a serious breach of journalistic integrity. I'm sure they did their best to get their own candidate elected but found that democracy is still alive and well – tough break. Further, isn't it fair to say that overt block voting on the basis of religion perverts democracy and individual free will? Isn't that what the US stands for or has that been forgotten??

Liberal slant reporting once again. Did you consider asking the constituent why this muslim interest group is spending no time decrying terrorist activities and joining in the national outcry to build a mosque near ground zero? No, I guess that is balanced journalism – a foreign concept to you.
