@Lori, i have been unemployed and have been pushed very hard by the "system", but i was never tempted to shot anyone.
I certainly wanted to scream at people, but i didn't do that either.
I know stress and PTSD very well, but not interested in Murdering anyone.
This guy was obviously Disturbed, stress or not.Thanks for you post.

That's stunning. It brings up a couple of memories–primarily the (calm and calculated) murder of Harvey Milk.
So the security officer was not in the room? I guess the video camera was running on its' own.
This video really seems so surreal...this gunman has very scary eyes! If it were not for that, I'm not sure I'd know what to make of everything if I were in that board meeting...
Amazing (and very fortunate) that no one was shot! That woman who hit him with her purse is also lucky that he didn't fire at her. :-O What a terrifying ordeal for those school board members and those in attendance!

very disturbing video. this is an incredible video and could've been deadly. I've never seen anything like this where people are able to remain calm the entire time. It shows who were in control.
The Superintendent did a brilliant job of handling the situation.

You're right. The video is disturbing! Two things were incredible besides the actual shootings which were awful. That woman that picked up her purse before she would leave. If a man with a gun said I could leave, I wouldn't worry about my purse. Then she came back and hit him with her purse. Wow, that woman was brave. And they all just sat there and talked to him. And why did security wait so long? They could have shot to disable him as soon as he pulled a gun out!!!
That does make any kind of sense.

That was astonishing footage from the school board meeting. It is distressing to think that he felt this was his only option.
Wow,, I just heard about this. This really is a disturbing video. Ginger was awful brave,, She could have been badly injured.This gunman is sick.What a frightening situation.

There are metal detector set up in these schools. There should be metal detector set up at the Board of Education as well!

When the president was born, his mom put an announcement in the Honolulu newspaper. Those birthers are loonie!!

"People" have latched on to this "birther" issue as an excuse to berate an African American President because of nothing more than bitter and sheer ignorance.

Where is the evidence birthers? There's nothing wrong with people asking questions and wanting answers as to where President Obama was born. But so far nobody has been able to find proof that he wasn't born in our country. I've never seen anything like this. I find this disrepectful and wish this group would put it to rest since they haven't found any proof to back up their claim.
Col. Lakin (sp?) should be ashamed of himself. I respect the fact that he has served our country, but he is sooo wrong about the President.
It's even worse that he that he Won't speak for himself!
Good for that Judge and his legal knowledge and basically common sense.
I don't think the Col. is a "pawn" of the birther movement.

The whole birther issue seems a desperate attempt to create controversy over Pres. Obama.
