DADT does not directly affect me in any way but the behaviour in the Senate on this and other matters is frustrating. Why is it that our lawmakers can never just take a straight vote on things? Why does their vote have to be tied to other deals and lawmakers openly admit that their vote on one matter changes depending on what happens on a totally unrelated matter. Some may call it politics but when one makes a decision based on favors granted it can also be called corruption. Just think how productive DC could be without all the horse trading – lawmakers please just start voting each issue on it's merits. why would it be any other way?
