WikiLeaks lists sites key to U.S. security

WikiLeaks has published a secret U.S. diplomatic cable listing locations abroad that the U.S. considers vital to its national security, prompting criticism that the website is inviting terrorist attacks on American interests.
The list is part of a lengthy cable the State Department sent in February 2009 to its posts around the world. The cable asked American diplomats to identify key resources, facilities and installations outside the United States "whose loss could critically impact the public health, economic security, and/or national and homeland security of the United States."
The diplomats identified dozens of places on every continent, including mines, manufacturing complexes, ports and research establishments. CNN is not publishing specific details from the list, which refers to pipelines and undersea telecommunications cables as well as the location of minerals or chemicals critical to U.S. industry.

I think this guy is finally being seen to be what he really is. While some may have mistakenly thought he was just a well intentioned liberal his latest threats to simply download very sensitive material if he is arrested paints a different picture. He is simply an arrogant guy who thinks he knows best and is prepared to endanger many innocent people around the world.
Wikileaks has done the US diplomats and other workers both American and foreign a huge disservice. If you cannot talk with your co-workers and superiors in confidence without worrying that it will come back to bite you on the internet, you are crippled in your effectiveness. And how much has he damaged our relations with other countries – our allies and foes alike. Whoever gave him these documents, etc. should be caught and tried for treason.
This is only making our reputation worse. Go to google.com.br, or any news website in another language you can read. There are articles and articles listing the resources our embassadors picked in Brazil and in other countries. Why would our news-stations/websites not release what is available in other countries?
Also this is front page news on google.com.br and I had to search for it on google.com.
No. We cant do these mistakes. We habe to work together and see that we are hurting ourselves.
