Do those in Congress opposed to the repeal of DO/DT NOT realize that any straight soldier has the right and the responsibility to say "No thank you" if he/she is not inclined to accept a proposition from someone gay? Straight women have been turning down straight men since the beginning of time. Why could not a soldier do the same thing?
The years are taking its toll on Mr McCain, he needs to retire and do some golfing, and leave these issues to someone else.
McCain is a hipocrite and clearly playing to his electorate. But whether servicemen vote for or against DADT isn't the issue. It is wrong constitutionally. We didn't depend on a vote for abolishing slavery or integration.
