Although I do not condone the adding of earmarks on this or any other bill that passes through both Houses, politics are played the way. This is not the first time or last one that this is done. Regarding the 1200 Haitian children that are in the process of adoption, it is wonderful that these caring families took their children into their families. If one thinks about it, life has already given these children a great gift, the gift of being loved. The article only spoke of the young 16-year-old girl, but I imagine that the rest of the children are already living the “American Dream.” The mother of the 16 year old spoke about her daughter going to school, being a cheerleader, playing soccer, wanting to get a job, and drive. In my opinion, this girl already has many wonderful things in her life. It is difficult for me to feel sorry about her. Many American children do not have what she has.
