I live in Windsor Locks, CT. This man is obviously a sociopath of the highest order. I do not believe this man wanted the death penalty. He "tried" to commit suicide a few times to no avail, if he really wanted to, he could have killed himself. He only feels sorry for himself and his efforts to try and commit suicide was just an act.
I met him and his partner a few days before this tragedy happened. I was working for a Chevy dealership in Cheshire, CT and they came in to try to buy a van. He was very spooky looking...but quite frankly I was very shocked when I found out the other defendant Joshua was involved with these crimes. He was very soft spoken and came in with painters pants. He told me he had served 5 years in jail for "burglaries" but was doing some house painting and was trying to get his act together. They could not get approved for financing and I actually felt badly for them! Hayes said nothing, but I patted Joshua on the back and wished him luck. I still can't believe it.

If he wants the death penalty, he should not get it and be forced to live in prison for the rest of his life.

We shall see if it's true or not about him wanting the death penalty as his lawyer claims. I don't believe it, monsters like this always want to live no matter what. If he truly wants to die then he will drop his appeals like Timothy McVeigh did. This idiot has no remorse about what he and his co-monster did to that family. I would like to see both of these idiots executed as soon as possible, they don't deserve to still be breathing.
