Go Ellmer's ! A voice for we the people and she swings back ! Tuck and duck Cooper ! Great job Ellmer's ! It's not incediary to disagree with the location of this Mosque and to question the connections and associations of all involved with it.Mr. Cooper asks the questions but does not answer them ? She's got some snap, crackle and pop with fire back at him ! Loved it !
I'm a 13 year old boy and i really appreciate the way anderson cooper brought out the facts and got rid of the inaccuracies in the interview with renee elmers. she is using her bigotry and the bigotry of the people in the district to get herself job by exploiting fears of citizens. she is an example of moral decline as she mentioned herself. i would like to thank you for making me feel better when i say the pledge every morning knowing there are people like youtrying to uphold our constitution and getting the fact straight on liberty and justice for all thanks so much

I think Americans should all use this opportunity of discontent and repression to actually travel outside of the country.
I think this woman is absolutely disgusting. This whole debate shows exactly just how ugly the undercurrent of racism really is in America. I think that people are deluded and or seriously misguided and ill informed about their own countries involvement in creating terror.
Mr. Anderson Cooper,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for stating the obvious, underlining the real facts and being on the side of truth!
We appreciate your show and are always refreshed by your factual and informative program.
Sincerely,

I admit I have been very unfair Sarah Palin. Without evidence I had decided that she was the dumbEST and MOST ignorant political candidate I had heard/seen. Now I see that I was wrong. So wrong that I am not going to make the same mistake again declaring Ellmers the dumbest and MOST ignorant one. She is just dumbER and MORE ignorant than Palin. I reserve judgment on superlatives until I see what else lurks under the rocks out there.
Anderson Cooper comes accross as "pro-mosque". The candidate had enough fortitude to stand by her add and is right saying that her opponent did not come out and state his position. He had someone do it for him, which shows a lack of character in his part (I have never heard of him). Anyway, Anderson lost the debate when he reacted the way he did about her comments about being anti-religion and interrupting her before she could answer. Bad day for Anderson, who is usually much more composed. My opinion like that of many other Americans is that the Mosque should NEVER be built anywhere near ground zero. It is seen as a provocation by most people.
Hello Anderson,
I must say, people like yourself are a true representation of the United States. Not only you question the accuracy of the campaign ads that candidates are paying for, you also support your claims with factual information. I watch your show religiously and admire your honesty, dedication, and loyalty to American values.
On the one hand, the Congresswoman was wrong in her interview with Anderson to say that she represents "Christians" – she's supposed to represent her entire constituency. On the other hand, it would be a good common sense move for the Muslim-Americans to move that particular mosque away from the site where a rogue group professing to be Islamic killed so many. No one has provided any evidence that it was or wasn't conceived as a "Victory" mosque, and certainly if it's a fact that there are 600,000 Muslims in New York City, then Americans must not be busy hating Muslims or we'd be awfully busy. As the firefighter's sister said, we are very tolerant; we must don't like the idea of a mosque there. But if they do build it there, we will know that the Muslims weren't too worried about the sensibilities of those with different views, and that in itself will be useful information.
Tell her Anderson! Way to go!
I agree with Renee Ellmers opinion. I would vote for her. We need more politicians with a backbone. Our President and Attorney General do not seem to have one. There is only one reason to build a mosque at that location, let real americans know they are here and plan to take over. I am really starting to feel we certainly elected the wrong president. He seems to have some underlying agenda and it does not feel good for America. I guess he wants war here in our country. I fought for this contry in Vietnam and will do it again here at home if it comes to that. We need more leaders like Renee! By the way, I removed my democratic party registration and moved to no party affiliation. Thank you Mr. President, and I will never vote for you again.
Wow Anderson, I used to think CNN was fairly unbiased but that is really changing lately. Your hostility to anything Christian or based on the Christian roots of this country is really starting to show. I'd love to see you debate one of your founding fathers who were mostly Christian in beliefs and morality, on which your Constitution is based. One can't even debate this mosque issue without your cutting them off, calling them names?! CNN how far you have fallen ! Open your eyes America and see what the goal of Islam has always been and research the history of radical Islam from the Ayatollah in 1979 onwards. They will not rest until America falls and you're helping them along. CNN fiddled while America burned.
Mr. Cooper and the rest of the media keep trying to make the mosque issue about religion. It is not about religion. It is about the fear that radical muslims may use the mosque as a victory mosque. We who oppose it are not against Muslims, we are worried what may be hiding within the main stream muslim community. We cannot seperate the good ones from the bad ones. In other words we are worried that immigrant Muslims may be used as, without main stream Muslims being aware, a Trojan Horse by the radical Muslims.Come on Mister Cooper your statement that you do not have an opinion did not ring true. It is also pretty evident that you have not studied the history of Islam in detail.
Anderson, after seeing the Ms. Elmer's ad I have to disagree with you. If you listen carefully to what she says there are distinctions made between Moslem and Terrorist. I think you're trying to make another Republican look bad and I just wish you'd start trying to keep a few Democrats honest!
Thank you for your tough and assertive reporting especially on this issue. I was stunned when I watched this ad on your show. Keep 'em honest Anderson. Bigotry and hatred is not a disease.....it's a choice!
I would like to know how can you stop American people from building a mosque on their property? You can approve this ad only by changing the constitution. Before you try to be a congresswoman study your history.
Hate mongering at its best. Muslin are terrorist but i want thei vote, what a shame.
First, not allowing the Muslims build the mosque is against the first amendment, and second, the terrorists haven’t conquered us! By any means this won't be a victory mosque!
