(CNN) - As voters in five states go to the polls on Tuesday, big-dollar challenges to veteran politicians dominate the top races.

John McCain is expected to fend off the biggest Republican primary challenge of his Senate career and a little-known Tea Party candidate is taking on an incumbent senator in Alaska.

    Hi Guys,
Is there always a direct link to primary votes and the national ultimate result.
Primaries are what they are a vote on local state sentiments and issues as the respective candidates proclaim thier SOLUTIONS OR ? IDEOLOGIES?
Of course some of those issues are national like employment ( rather unemployment) the economy and Jobs = full circle.
Now who y'all goin to vote for in November, once we have in most cases two opposing ideologies/candidates.
One of which basically says Obama did everything wrong, and opposed everything he did and so far only has the Bush policy and ideology as the solution, = as of now higher national debt!!
Well media pundits etc we aint that stupid. Watch this space and all the media drama will be revealed for waht it is just something to keep 24 hour news ( actually gossip) alive hello Hanity Limbaugh etc and the equally nonsensical Dem equivalents thereof.
I have one wish repeal/ cancel Citizens United its a disgrace.
    Regards,
    Hodgson.

"The GOP need to focus on education, because they do not get it. . Pres. Obama has made hard choices that has kept this country affloat over the fray of the mess that GW BUSH left and the cultural domination of GREED. When will the GOP get that GREED and disdain for our American President will not work. JUST like Pres Obama made HARD DECISIONS to keep America Affloat, the gop need to provide hard intelligent thought provoking answers and solutions to the problems of the ECONOMY. Presently, they have orange people like Boehner screaming on the TV along with Sarah Palin talking about grizzly bears."
