The oil spill was a disaster but Florida and huge areas of the Gulf of Mexico coast remain great for vacations with no real issues.
Yep I guess sea fishing and charters aren't operating in some places, but it is not the whole reason to go for a holiday on the gulf coast.
There is and has been a lot of scare mongering going on with only Media boosted Speculation... some of the facts re Dispersants, damage to beaches ( very small as of now) and others are totally outside accurate data and information. great drama for the media.
Go look at the history of the previous similar Gulf of Mexico leak effect not even 1/5th as bad as the Media punditry suggest. Plumes and tar balls are prime bio degredation candidates, that's how they work and LIVE!!
The missing elements real fact, and solid scientific evidence!!

Hodgson.
Hmm, come swim in the toxic, poisonous waters that likely would lead to a increase chance of skin cancer? Consume likely petrol-chemical laden seafood which would lead to a increased chance of colon and stomach cancer? Breathe in the toxic fumes boiling off 180 million gallons of toxic crude oil now floating in the Gulf of Mexico? Decisions, decisions...
The food looks wonderful in this segment – especially the oysters and those are my favorites. If we get to take a vacation this year we will be going to the Gulf. The Gulf beaches are beautiful and the seafood has always been the best; if you are looking for a good vacation spot try these beaches out – I bet you will love them as much as we do.
