Shirley Sherrod told a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists convention Thursday she would pursue a lawsuit against blogger Andrew Breitbart.

"I will definitely do it," she said, when asked about rumors she was considering legal actions.

The Sherrod controversy began after conservative blogger Breitbart posted a portion of the speech in which Sherrod spoke of not offering her full help to a white farmer. The original post indicated that the incident Sherrod mentioned occurred when she worked for the Agriculture Department, and news outlets quickly picked up on the story.

Shirley Sherrod has the every reason to pursue a lawsuit against Andrew Breitbart.. Breitbart actions were deliberate, his aim was to slander her reputation, cause controversy and inflict political damage to the party in office. It is about time we all take a long hard look at how so many (too many) conservatives are trying to divide our county with misinformation and false accusations. It is not just wrong it's frightening.

A list of all the persons, and organizations, who support Andrew Breitbartt should be made public... they shouldn't mind if they support him and it will give them a chance to publicly state their positions.

MS. Sherrod rightfully deserves damages from this calculating, bigoted and delusional man (Andrew Breitbart) we can only hope the damages are awarded in an amount sufficient to completely bankrupt this man into real poverty.

Additionally, a list of all the persons, organizations, crazies and zealots who support him should be made public they shouldn't mind if they support him and it will give them a chance to publicly state their positions.

Go for it, Sherrod, Breitbart needs to be punished for what he did to you. He got away too much already and it's time for him to pay.

See, I was right!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was planning on making money $$$$$ on the embarrassment she caused President Obama, NAACP, Fox News, Agriculture Dept., and her boss. That's why she made such a scandal. Told you she was no poor, timid, shy, innocent lady. She did file a lawsuit in which she & her husband made $300,000 from the $13 million the court awarded her lawsuit against the Agriculture Dept. in 1997. Sherrod was looking to get some attention she could turn into $$$$$$$$. She didn't want to stand her ground when she was asked to resign, she quickly resigned knowing she could make money $$$$$ on the mess she was going to cause. Sherrod should apologize to President Obama for causing him and his administration an embarrassing situation and then she should move on.
