I would like to say that Anderson Cooper and Randi Kaye, are the utmost when reporting the news. No hypy,BREAKING NEWS,fake voices, and long hair just good reporting.

Any blogger, jounalist, commentator, who knowingly edits video and is caught doing it should be held accountable in a court of law. That would teach the rest. The penalty should be substantial enough that they would think twice before doing it.
no matter what the info in the videos IS, Authorities should NEVER have fired Sherrod until they got the whole story. Dont blame it on Brietbart, he had some willing help with the administration.
How many times have we heard: dont believe what you see on the internet? And yet, Sherrod was fired???
He's just another silly, bullying type (think Limbaugh) who can dish it out, but cant take it.
I think your analysis of Breitbart and indeed the whole of the right-wing combative little Davids is right on. They think they are fighting the forces of evil and therefore any means is justified in the battle. Their truth is only what they are already convinced of. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of this.
How much longer are you guys going to milk the Shirley Sherrod smear. She seems to be enjoying her moment in the limelight. I guess this is the problem with 24 hour all news stations,you need something to talk about. Jesse Ventura was right. You have become more of an entertainment station than an actual news station. Maybe with a few less hours and a little more relevant content you would become a news station worthy of watching more.
Who do you believe you are fooling? In you business, it's most certainly NOT about facts, and it's clear CNN and the rest of the news business world is unconcerned with facts. In recent years, intelligent viewers have come to understand you are hypocrites. You are admonishing someone for doing the very thing you and your stations do on air hundreds of times each day. You "selectively edit" and show only the portions of interviews, speeches, reports, etc., you wish for us to see, in an attempt to dupe the dimwitted, simpleminded viewer and manipulate public opinion.
When ACORN was mentioned last night, I was hoping that you would also report on how that story was also misrepresented by Brietbart, then by Fox. The same MO, the same non-stop coverage, the same echo chambers, and like the Sherrod story, a failure by Fox to show what the rest of the story was. The "pimp" was not dressed as a pimp in interview, as can be seen in the video, and the guy at ACORN contacted the police immediately after they left to report the incident.
Three investigations have cleared ACORN. Why has CNN not done ACORN justice by reporting THAT whole story?
Thank God all parties apologized to Sharrod. The humiliation is equal now. Let this be over with! Enough! I'm tired of the same story. Move on!!!
Whoa! ACORN is a "federal housing group?" No, it most certainly is not. It received funding from the federal government. And ACORN "publicly supported Obama's campaign?" If it did, that would probably have been against the law under the requirements of their nonprofit designation.
Toward the end of the video, the reporter makes a comment that maybe Breitbart doesn't want to talk because he has some racism in his background, but provides no evidence to support such an accusation. Poor story all around.
I keep hearing the members of the news team at CNN use the term 'spliced" video. Yet, when I look at the video in its entirety and the video that was originally posted I cannot find any splicing. Could somebody at your organization explain o the viewing public where the splice occurs or start apologizing for their mis-reporting. For your information, splicing implies cutting parts out and then taping the remainders together. From my viewing, this video begins and ends but has not had parts in between removed. It is a clip or a snippet of the event. It is very much like most 30-second clips that most news groups use.
The only thing that needs to be talked about is Breitbart, not Sherrod, or anybodies response to it. This was a video, that was edited in a way so Sherrod seemed to be saying exactly the opposite of what she was actually saying.That is the only thing that matters.
It should be about targeting Breitbart, what is Anderson Cooper talking about. When has the left done anything as blatant as this.
Listening for the past few days to the way Brietbart has lied and drug Mrs. Sherrod's name thru the mud, it makes me sick that so many people sit and watch Fox news and never turn the channel to CNN or MSNBC to hear the real news.....there are so many "right wing " closed minded people everywhere..not just the south. I was listening when Tony Harris was speaking and first realized there was a little more than just what Brietbrat was saying...there was an injustist, and a good lady was being wronged, there again, so many will not listen to "the rest of the story". Please keep delivering it, so many of us like to stay informed. I have lived in the south for a long time, I know it is not perfect, some times I love it, sometimes it needs a lot of "fixin". People like Mrs. Sherrrod will help fix it.
Andrew Breitbrat is the modern day Lee Atwater with a web address and it shows how backwards and outdated the NAACP is, they had the original footage of the speech....
Wow. I'd have to say that given what Mr. Breitbart did, the last thing anyone would refer to him or his blog is "journalism". He is nothing more than a "blogger with an agenda".
While the technical staff at Fox Network has the skills, tools and ability to obtain the original NAACP speech by Shirley Serrod and splice, dice and re-edit that into a smear hit video against NAACP who had called Fox Network's linked Tea Party leaders and members of harboring and shielding racist and racism.
Andrew Breitbart however doesn't appear to have that skill alone. Sadly, Anderson Cooper is blaming 'bloggers' for this racist video hit piece. Even thou Andrew Breitbart has multiple websites, listed the spliced and edited video of Shirley Sherrod's speech on one of his websites, Anderson Cooper blames 'bloggers'.
This isn't the first video hit and smear campaign against a perceived enemy of the Fox Network. Previously it was the ACORN organization which the Fox Network showed a faux video smear over and over in a crass attempt to destroy the creditability of the ACORN organization and succeeded in doing so when President Obama pulled their federal funding. But Anderson Cooper is blaming 'bloggers'.
