Tonight on 360°, the truth about Shirley Sherrod - the USDA official who resigned after a video surfaced of her speech in March leading to accusations she's racist. She denies those claims and speaks out on the program. Plus, our attempts to get answers from BP about the oil spill flow rate and more.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

I pray for Ms. Sherrod and hope she is made whole. She was trying to unite people and divide them. Shame on us.

It is high time people listened and heard the message. The lack of communication is one of our biggest problems. I can not understand why it is so easy to jump to conclusions and so difficult to discuss a situation. Jumping to conclusions, it would seem, cost a woman more than her job.. The authorities need to study their thoughts, apologize for their actions and reinstate a beautiful person who has devoted her life to stop situations such as this.

I am very impressed with Mrs. Sherrod and I know she will come out on top of this. Talk about misconstruing someone's comments. How can Fox presume that the people in the audience are racists just for responding to her Inspiring story.

Tony Hayward is just the tip of the iceburg that is sinking BP and costing the lives of many good people, wildlife and nature. I hope the USA Justice Department will not stand for the free pass that Exxon was given in Alaska. BP must pay the bills.

Good night AC360 Team and fellow bloggers.

It's good that Shirley Sherrod was able to tell her side of todays story.

BP will never tell us the truth.......Stay safe everyone.

This woman is exactly correct in that whether it is race in America or religion in Northern Ireland, it is all just subtrafuge used to divide the disadvantaged so they don't unite against their real enemy, the corporate powerbrokers who control their lives. This idea is more threatening to power than all the is this comment racist talk or if a white person said this stuff. Ms. Sharrod was right on point.

Although making light of BP not appearing on this show would add to the defensiveness of the company.

    Already an hour.

    Good night everyone.

Good night ALL! Really interesting blog tonight. I hope we all learned something tonight.

"Tone deaf" in public relations by BP is an understatement! Glad to see the original CEO out!
I serisouly distrust the idea of flodding the cap of the well for Many reasons...but still feel we can get flow rates by other means.
Anderson, take care of your cough!

Good evening Anderson and everyone. I missed the blog tonight because my internet was acting up. But it was a great program as usual with great comments I see.

I hope they do right by Mrs. Sherrod.

BP is never going to be honest with their reports.

    Good night everyone.

I hope that this story let us see how ridiculous we are towards one another. Who are we at war with? If we keep this up, we will not have to deploy soldiers to go to war, the war will be right here in the United States of America.

Hello everyone - thanks for joining up tonight. Really appreciated your comments - as well as the way that Anderson explored the Shirley Sherrod story in depth. Hopefully, by tomorrow night, she will be reinstated in good standing - and with an apology from the government.

What an interesting show today. I have mixed feelings...though I will say we still have a long way to go in overcoming prejudice. Thank you so much Mr. Cooper, bloggers and moderators for the great conversation. Goodnight to you all.

I hope Shirley will be alright. I know this horrible misunderstanding must be eating away at her. I'm sure she and others will take this moment of history as an example to reflect on ourselves for the betterment of humankind, even if we must suffer injustices and malnourished opinions from others.

Please Anderson, the man didn't mean no harm with his expression "small people". Common expression in Europe. English is his second language.. Enough of that..

We are living in terrible times. It,s sad that we are the most advanced country in the world and still dealing with race issues. Wake up people! We all belong to the human race. We are on this planet together. We must survive together or we will all perish because of foolishness. Give the lady her job back.

Yep all BP had to do was convey the facts.

Anderson BP does not care they new what they were doing and so did all the people who worked on the rig. We are treating ourselves like we don't care when will we stand up as people and say hell no we will not allow this to be BP, people getting fired who should be giving talks to show others how they can over come. Anderson I think people are getting tired and a change is coming just not the one we need.
