Program Note: AC360° will be reporting live from Haiti Monday and Tuesday nights at 10pm ET.

Hundreds file into Haiti's main soccer field, to watch a World Cup match on a giant screen set-up to give many a way to enjoy the world's biggest sporting event. Nearly 6 months after the quake hit Haiti, the country is the midst of World Cup fever, which offers a month-long respite from the still harsh living conditions.

In one of the over the 1,300 tent cities around the country, the homeless too watch with passion. In the mud, under leaking tarps from the rain, cheering for teams a continent away. For a brief period. forgetting the misery of post-earthquake life.

I am a huge World Cup fan, my husband has been to Haiti after the earthquate with Army Sout and will goback this July. It would be great to see Haiti have a team of their own and participating in the WC.
