What about costner's centrifuge machines for these oil plumes? Why aren't they being utilized? Any info?
It's frustrating to see. Also frustrating watching the many picking up oil and just putting it back in the water for the workers to clean up. It is extremely hot and humid here. I applaud the low paid workers on the beach and if they can only work 10 min. in those suits, at least some of it is getting in bags. Pensacola plans a big fireworks display, hope it doesn't scare the pelicans and dolphins even more.
I live in Apalachicola area of Florida. When i saw Penscola beach my heart broke because i know it is just a matter of time before it reaches our beaches. I think the goverment and bp could have done a heck of alot more to keep the oil from even getting this far. They had 60 days to be more proactive but instead we get lies and petty arguing between dem.&rep. instead of helping us on the gulf coast.PLEASE don't let the rest if amercia forget us. Thank you Mr. Cooper
How about a daily update on your show from the Coast Guard?
The workers aren't doing a good enough job. I was at Pensacola Beach at on Wednesday at noon until 3pm and the workers were under the tent smoking and relaxing and no one was working. I took pictures of them in action or lack of action. Can we get workers that actually want to work and make an effort. The life guard even commented saying he was upset to see the workers doing nothing, he wanted to just take their shovels and do the work since they aren't unless the camera crews are there.
some one has to keep ( BP ) honest
Its a shame that the oil got to any beaches or wetlands. Why can BP be proactive and get more people and equipment out in the Gulf to keep the oil away from the shore and they scoop it up out there? They are just reacting to the oil as it comes ashore on the clean-up. I know it is harder to be proactive on this than reactive but just think of all the work and money it would save – and how much it would save the state of Florida on tourism dollars.
