BP is under fire after congress releases internal documents from the company. The documents question whether BP was more interested in cutting costs and not safety. We're keeping them honest. Plus, we'll have all the other developments live from Louisiana.

Hi all,
I am up here in Ontario Canada wishing your president good luck in solving this disaster. Our prayers are with you all.
Will the hearing with Tony Hayward be televised?
Why has it taken so long for (whoever) is in charge to approve Costner's device.....just get them in the water
Why hasn't our government jumped in with a team to stop this leak???Don't we have enough educated people in our country or world to figure out how to stop this??? With all this time that has been wasted, we could of built a tu7be strong enough to withstand the pressure of the depth to cover the leak and stop the flow of oil!!!!
We have technology to seperate 1 Million gallons of oil/water per day and we do nothing. We are offered tankers and international assistance and we do nothing. Marsh lands and now the FL keys are awash with oil and we do nothing. At what point will our government do anything? Anything at all?
NOAA's knew on April 22nd that the oil spill was 100,000 barrels or 4.2 million gallons PER DAY
Yes,I am getting tired of hearing about the oil leak-–I dont care about anymore whos going to do this or that -just fix the mess-how come a wall will fix a border problem but no one cant get this fixed??
I have vacations plans for the 3rd week in Aug,at Destin Beach I am not
cancelling my plans and I truly hope we are done talking about this mess and just show the results
anderson, please tell Jindal to put tees on the end of the vaccum tube with 2' extensions on each side of the tee. Drill small holes along the bottom and suck up twice the oil in half the time with the same equipment.
Just when you think that more truths can be revealed about BP, we get another kick in the gut. My guess is Tony Hayward won't answer any questions. It could be in his best interest to not say anything. It seems when he does speak, he only makes matters worse.
I am not surprised to hear that BP had cut corners! All along this was just too easy to guess – but what surprises me is the fact that they cut corners for a mere 7 million $ – for pennies on dollars for them!
It's shocking, yet great news to hear the news that Anderson reported at the top...that there is indeed a paper trail of BP's actions by looking to save money they were putting safety in harms way. (despite the multiple warnings, they didn't care, and even said so!)
Anderson, at the beginning of your show you said we may be getting tired of your reporting on this. The answer is NO. We want you to stay on this until it is over. Thanks for the great job you are doing.
Texans have known about BP for years. Ever since the Texas City accident where 15 were killed 5 years ago for cutting corners for safety. All they had to pay was $87 million in fines.
Evening Anderson, what is BP doing to help wildlife and marine life and why hasn't there been coverage on marine life and wildlife preserves. BP needs to fork over money to save our ecosystem like NOW!
Good evening Anderson and everyone. It's great to be here with all of you tonight. Keep it up Anderson and thank you so much for sticking with this story. Many corporations or organizations put profit over safety but the degree to which BP has done this is criminal. Although 56 days sounds like alot, I'm afraid we're in for many more.
I think BP is awful. They should be ashamed of themselves. Safety is the number ONE priority over anything. They are a bunch of gold digging people.
Ugh,It just makes me mad. We can put a man on the moon, but we cannot fix an oil spill??? >:(
Anderson,
Hi! It's great to see you on the Gulf Coast again tonight.
BP has to be held accountable for their decisions, and the consequences.
Good Evening everyone! Looking foward to another truthfull hour, Keep them honest Anderson.
Hopefully, President Obama’s visit can get more going on down there, something has to be done, this has just gone on too long.
All of the oil companies should be investigated for safety violations. The government should not have left this in BP's hands. They should have built the berms and tried Costner's machine much earlier whether BP liked it or not and sent them the bill.
Sue,
I agree with you, too. 🙁
I agree with Billy. The govt. should be forming a team of experts from OTHER oil companies to take charge of plugging this oil spill. I think it is risky to place all of our trust in BP to take care of this problem.
.........56 days and still no sign of ending..
Now there are reports of BP or people hired by BP to remove animal carcasses, to remove the evidence even during the dark of the night so no one will see this tragic evidence. These people are really criminals.
I'm glad to hear Billy Nungesser suggest getting other oil companies to help. I've wondered why the president didn't do that weeks ago. I guess the trick is getting BP to pay them?
Can't watch the show live tonight. But was curious did BP refuse to be on AC360 again?
Hello everyone!
I very much agree with Billy. I've heard many good analogies about leaving BP in charge of fixing this mess, but one I remember was "It's like letting the admitted criminal be in charge of his own trial and sentencing."
I don't think bp's behavior is 'like' a
criminal's. It is criminal and I don't understand why we don't treat it as such.
Cut costs? You can't be serious!
Tough words by Douglas Brinkley...this is BP's downfall.
Hi Anderson, Hello 360! Hello everyone in LA.
As long as the oil is still there, we are going to be there, too!
It's outrageous the way BP conducts business and ultimately is about the money instead of human lives that are put in danger!
I'm glad that you have stayed in the Gulf region and keep this disaster in the fore front!
Good Evening Anderson, AC360 Team, Megan, Starr, Emily, Jo Ann, Sue, David, Nicole, Gloria, Heather, and other bloggers!
Di and Samantha,
Yes, Anderson is still in New Orleans right now since 4 weeks. He is doing great job reporting!
Good Monday evening Anderson, 360 Team, Jo Ann, Mike, Nicole, David, Megan, Nancy, Sree, Gloria, & Bloggers!
Anderson, how can oil-siphoning capacity rise to up to 50,000 barrels per day, when they swore that only 1/10 of that was originally coming out? (5000 barrels on April 28)
Good evening.
Day 56 of the worst environmental disaster in America...More and more grief each day.
How is the oil affecting the air quality? I hear some people say it stinks but if it was that bad wouldn't they have clean-up crews masked?
I am so excited to hear abt.Kevin Costner's idea on your show. So glad you are in Louisiana. Hope you go back to Haiti and let us know how that is going. Your coverage was so interesting.
Franklin, TN
BP has no sense of urgency on this oil spill, then neither does our federal government.Give em hell Anderson!
Anderson, can you explain to your viewers what "Plaquemines Parish is" for those of us who are not from LA, it sounds like Billy's the president of a church? Is this Parrish the only parish effected? If not, where are the other's?
Thanks for clearing up the confusion,
What's up Anderson, Keep up the AWESOME work that ur doing!!!
Hi everyone,
I wonder how many more days they think it will take to finish one of the new oil rigs? June and July are going to be long, dirty months it seems.
