Tonight on 360°, the latest developments on efforts to determine how much oil is leaking into the Gulf. Plus, survivors of the doomed BP oil rig tell their stories.

Scroll down to join the live chat during the program. It's your chance to share your thoughts on tonight's headlines. Keep in mind, you have a better chance of having your comment get past our moderators if you follow our rules.

Here are some of them:

1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

Emily, you make a good point...where is Transocean (the employer of these rig workers) or Halliburton for that matter? Are their lawyers telling them to keep quiet?

If I were DHS and I run the organization, I promise you, I would be standing next to Billy! I would be making sure that I am president's eyes and ears on the ground.

When humble and day-to-day people can comprehend so much, why aren't the people responsible at the top lying low? At least for the sake of the hurt and distressed, stand up and apologize or at least re-assure!

Every day that passes we see few faces that are so persistent and want this done badly than the responsible! Anderson, Thank You for the truth!

    @Michael Armstrong Sr.
"You should interview Mike Williams ."

Who's Mr. Williams? (sorry, long day & week)

Mike in Virginia, sadly it probably is. Looking in our own workplaces will probably bear that out, even....not just in people or entities we dislike.

Anderson, There is a specialized unit in the Army specifically designed, trained, and equipped to oversee the cleanup in the Gulf. Technical Escort Unit, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. They are the only specialized unit that could quickly deploy, setup, and run command and control. Put them in charge and have BP give them the funds and get out of the way. They would coordinate and train everyone needed for the cleanup. You need a knowledgeable group in charge and they are it. I was assigned with them years ago and I know their capabilities. I hope someone listens and checks them out. Thanks for your coverage, and God be with and bless the folks that are suffering and the animals too.

Look closely at the live video from Skandi ROV 2-it shows the "cap" at a huge angle(20 degrees). More than at any time since it was put on.
Something is going on-also seems like more oil tonight.
    Anderson, please check this out......

    Anderson,
    Hi–Happy Friday.
It's difficult to hear the survivors' recollections of the oil spill–though it's great you've taken time to include them in your program.

The British are talking to B.P. about pushing them into bankruptcy because of the pressure on there social security system we need to make sure they dont cut and run with there equipment .

Anderson should replay his interview with Dudley. Funny thing is that altho BP's Twitter page lists links to all of the interviews their execs did with the media it does not give a link to Anderson's interview with Dudley.

I feel for the people in this situation but I am beginning to have a hard time with the constant demands that something be done and the government isn't doing enough from the same people that want it all to continue. I understand the economic pull and need, but I also know that the people accepted that when they got oil industry in there. I mean, it's really going to affect everyone, but it is the people of the area that also knew that this could happen. You can't tell me they didn't. BP is definitely negligent at the very least, but I have to wonder why states didn't also have an emergency plan for a bad spill. I know I won't be popular saying this, but I'm sorry, I have to wonder.

Sree, you make a good point about Janet Napolitano. The irony of her focus on immigration and non-activity on that hits hard. She was the former Governor of Arizona prior to DHS and now look what Arizona is doing in terms of immigration. Has she even traveled to the Gulf?

My question is, who owns the oil that is being spilled into the Gulf and is that a reason that BP would downplay the volume.

Happy Friday evening Anderson, 360 Team. I am so glad that you are still in the Gulf Anderson Cooper. You always get the truth out. Thanks

I'm sure this has been asked before but what happens to the voided space in the earth's surface that this oil has left behind? Will it stay hollow or is this a well that can never run dry? What effects will it have upon the seabed..should we be worried about a tsunami-like occurence in the future?

Why is BP denying a lot of requests and hiding many things that the people want to know. This is the reason why things at the coast are getting worse and worse everyday.

    Emily,
Good point there, Thad Allen had no idea what happened take long time since explosion. I think Thad Allen didn't know how happened that time, He had be there in NOLA before.

Well I guess with all the problems this president has on his plate, an unprecedented amount. as far as I am concerned. He might need to move to the Gulf and bring Michelle and the children and stay awhile. and see first hand the day in the life of an out of the water fisherman scooping up tarballs.... with no let up in sight.

Billy took the lead. Way to go and start getting something done. If we could find out how much oil was being pumped out daily and pressure readings we should have an grand amount. But BP will not let out that information. Thad Allen should know what to do he supose to have 39yrs experience. but it's not showing. When the slick was seen from the space station, That should have told our government something is more was leaking than what BP ws anouncing and been right on it.

Corporations have re-written some ethics with profits and have replaced safety with risk, and diversity is just a wrap around humanity!

As most of the work gets outsourced to another firm, the values too are, but at least with outsourcing some one can be held responsible!

Wow, it appears many are not aware or do not care how drastic this is. What will it take to wake up more people and truly take action? Thanks Anderson for sticking it out and staying on the case.

It is so disheartening when in such a great country we seem so completley inept to protect our most precious resources. How can it take so long for our governement to understand how much a crisis this is? How long will we let money destroy us all? We are apathatic towards anything that doesn't involve making money.

Again, WHERE is an official from BP? Will one show up tonight....

Why has someone from Transocean not appeared on 360?

BP and the Coast Guard knew those sensors were available why didn't they order them a long time ago? Based on all the deception so far, I guess we know the answer to that question.

BP and the British need to "man up", admit their fault and quit playing games. There is no PR that is going to help. They have destroyed one of the greatest gifts God has given us with the breath taking beauty of the Gulf of Mexico and its coast. Too late to save face. Put every resource you have into saving what is left – then get out!

Good evening Anderson and everyone. Great to be here with all of you tonight. I've said all along "who is the go-to person?", the person who has been given authority to make all decisions and implement all measures needed?? Day after day comes and goes and we hear the same shortcomings. That place should be covered with boats and all manner of clean up techniques.

I like the way Thad Allen told Wolf that the Coast Guard selects the video footage the media and the American people are allowed to see. How do we know that it is a legitimate representation of what is happening?

Has anyone heard just how this all started? What happened on that rig?

oh billy looks so tired and worn out – it is one of those stupid situations where he is banging his head against a brick wall, and what is needed is for someone to be clonked between the eyes with a 2-by-4 to JUST LET THEM WORK – keep your chin up billy and keep focusing on the long-term

It is so hard to believe that BP isn’t doing more for: the families of those lost, the survivors and their families, the animals, birds and the oil. The only thing BP appears to be interested in, is, hiding the truth.

    Good evening all...

Sensor finally being placed to measure the oil...about time? Wish they had done this 53 days ago. Billy's right, everyone needs to work as a team.

Coast Guard is under DHS and that's Janet Napolitano – I haven't really seen her on the coast at least once!

Thad works for Janet and really she should be living on the coast if not wrong – what can be more important to her than this, right now?

Immigration was her priority before signing up and she's not doing much on that either!

CNN writes:"Local politicians are expressing outrage over how the White House and Oil giant are handling the disaster response"
----------–I'm outraged, that there was no back up plan in place to implement , in a scenario like the present one. I'm certain, that with all the supposedly great minds involved, in emergency planning; someone out of the bunch, must have been able to visualize the sequence of events that led to the oil rig explosion. Therefore, wouldn't there have been a plan to fix it..?? Perhaps BP was too overconfident in their oil rigs integrity. Some call it confidence; In my personal opinion, it was delusion.
