Your excellent reporting from the Gulf oil spill should have a great possitive influence on this apalling situation. The destruction of the marsh and wildlife is a tragedy of unprecedented proportions and the situation on the ground is intolerable. It weighs on me every moment of the day.
The photographs of your tour of the oil spill are great, though very disturbing. I'm without electricity tonight–which couldn't come at a worse time. I hope you post many more images on the web of what is really happening in Louisiana.
what if something ignites that oil spill
Anderson, have you or anyone on your staff pulled the( MSDS's) Material Safety Data Sheets on crude oil and the other chemicals BP's
using to treat the oil. Anything you need to know is listed! The general public needs to know the hazards. You don't want to come in contact with with any of this material with out the proper protective equipment!

WOW! The pictures tell it all...especially the water bottle.
Do these pictures look familiar? Remember the scene with Gollum in the Dead Marshes from Lord of the Rings? Don't follow the lights!
That is what they will be too; dead marshes. It is infuriating the way this sludge was allowed to drift in with little effort to save the area and no cleanup on site.
Just think of the contamination to the underlying ground water, and long term health effects as well.
This is truly an environmental catasrophe.
Why can't we talk to Russia and use their oil skimmers to help clean up the oil, or for that matter why don't we have our own oil skimmers to use.
It is BP's responsibility to stop the leak, it is the President of the United State responsibility to protect the United States – Economically, Environmentally, and militarily. People in the Gulf needs to mail this Oil to Congress, COD
The accident and subsequent actions in Gulf region represent a "Clear and Present Danger" to the United States and should be treated as such. All appropriate US resources should be immediately deployed to assist and defend the United States in this disaster.
It saddens me tremendously to imagine the devastating effects this will have on the ecology of the ocean.
What tragedy!
Anderson, keep it up....... keep the American people informed and maybe someone is going to Listen how much long is this going to continue? Is this just a Trial and Error event?
