Instead of showing BP's live feed of the oil spewing into the Gulf, designed to anaesthesize us to its terrible consequences, why don't you show a live feed of a brown pelican's nest on Grand Island, LA which shows the true picture of the devasation of the oil slick. The live oil feed is a smokescreen designed to divert our attention from the real cost of the loss of our natural treasure and indeed the risk to the health of our planet.

We need to have CNN tell us more about what the scienctist say , what are the long term affects . What we as a people can do to enhance this recovery of the waters . What are the brains that study the oceans says , The people need to know to really wake up this country and not just argue this point but get the people together to get as much done as posible .

And another thing... is this prompting anyone to really seek other fuel sources??? When everything happened with the Valdez, it was all the rage to talk about alternatives to fossil fuels. What happened to that? If we didn't rely on oil so heavily we wouldn't be having some of the issues we do in the middle east and we wouldn't be in our present situation right here at home. Seriously, other than Willie Nelson and his corn, has anyone made a large scale effort other than things that are still on the drawing board?

I wonder if the spill might be controlled by putting a sleeve on the pipe and deferring the oil to barges that move oil everyday? I also think that the price of gasoline should not go up until bp has depleated all excess money available to correct this condition.
