I'd much rather be looking at wind turbines than globs of that tar stuff!

I've heard it's now 70,000 barrels a day, is that true?! It's destroying beautiful wildlife in the gulf coast. Many unknown species may be dying as we know it. If this keeps going on life in the gulf coast will cease to exsist. I am tired of seeing our land being destroyed and living creatures being killed because of mans mistakes. Native Americans have put up enough with these problems and 70,000 BARRELS is not tolerable. Do everything possible to get this oil out of the gulf coast or get your @$$es out of here. Oil evaporates when burned. I believe they should burn the oil even if it will cause an immense amount of CO2 in the ozone layer. But what's worse: Hundreds of innocent animals dying a day or CO2 in the ozone that can be reversed (if America actually starts to work on new cleaner fuels)? (I hope this PG enough for you.)

Why don't they insert a heavy duty kevlar bag into the opening, inflate it with high pressure water or air and it should conform to the opening and seal the leak.

USE THE SANDBAG METHOD. LARGER SCALE WOULD CALL FOR LARGER HEAVIER MATERIALS EG. LEAD. USE A STRONG BAG MADE OF NEOPRENE. CREATE ANOTHER HOLE CONTROLED IN CONTAINMENT. IF THE GUIDED FLOWING IS NOT ABLE TO GO TO CONTAINMENT.

    START THROWING SAND BAGS

I am utterly disgusted with B.P., the past and current administrations' support of these industry 'giants'. This latest oil-related accident that is endangering so much of the Gulf wildlife and human residents was totally preventable. When will the government ever stop giving in to big oil and gas interests! Until the U.S. has a true 'Green' party, I am fearful of our future. I am sick and tired of BOTH sides' state and federal representatives being bought and sold by big business. If it was big SOLAR business at work, maybe it would not be so bad.

Sure, there has been a disaster but we don't need more government regulations. Corporations have the public interest at heart..right?
