Editor's Note: AC360° viewers certainly are vocal! You spoke up about the oil spill, Arizona’s immigration law and the video of provocative 7-year-old girls who danced to Beyonce’s "Single Ladies." Read on to see what viewers had to say.
Why wasn't every available resource applied to the oil spill to begin with instead of considering it a more serious issue now the video is out? The President said every resource would be made available 2 weeks ago.
It has been my understanding that the Army Corp of Engineers can fix anything they have been challenged with so why not the Gulf spill?
Regarding Sheriff Arpaio's statement that Arizona's new law will enable illegal immigrants to be charged with a crime... Why would he want to increase the costs to the state of Arizona for using their legal resources (jail, judge, etc.) for someone who isn't even a citizen, when they could turn them over to ICE and be done with them?
I am a resident of Tucson, Az. To understand the problems we have with illegal aliens you need to be in the middle of the problem. The new law follows federal law with the exception that it requires the law to be enforced. If the Feds will not do it we will do it ourselves in Arizona.
In regards to the five little girls dancing as you put it provocatively, I live in Thailand, and when they have festivals here schools promote these types of dances with no adverse effects on the children, or people that watch it. I guess it depends on the culture.
Re story about the "dancing" 7 year olds: They are not the story–their parents are. How about a report on them?
My sisters (who are a 10 years plus younger than me) were competitive dancers. Many times their costumes were quite showy, and I was a little concerned. There was a question asked on the show about parents and how they could allow this. Honestly most of the time the parents don't even see the costumes until right before a competition and it is too late to change them.
