Sound Off: Your comments 5/13/10

Editor's Note: The majority of your comments last night centered on the oil spill and the Arizona school curriculum. Our AC360 fans really had some great suggestions on the Gulf oil spill can be controlled and/or stopped. There were also questions about what would happen when a big storm (hurricane) came through the gulf. The Arizona school curriculum segment brought many complaints from viewers who said that the interview was not fair to either side. If you missed it, make sure to watch the debate with Tom Horne, Arizona superintendent of public instruction, and sociologist Michael Eric Dyson .

Why not convert a super tanker into a wet/dry vacuum to suck the oil slick out of the water and filter it, keeping the oil in the tanker and releasing the water back into the gulf?

Want to ask Anderson to find out what would happen if a big storm comes, and the oil is not stopped.

Where is everyone..Texaco, Shell, Mobil, Exxon. Why have they not stepped up to the plate and helped PB. They all have everything to clean up this oil spill. Let’s work together here. I don’t get it. They need to practices what they preach at work.

I just tried to watch and learn from the segment regarding AZ and the school controversy. It would be nice if both sides were allowed to speak and had to be silent when the other is speaking.

I think the point is getting missed that Arizona would rather include all cultures of the U.S. in studies, rather than segregate them. Our country has been a melting pot of nationalities and cultures for centuries. Most people embrace their new, U.S. culture with pride, but some groups, just won't let go of the past and move forward.
